Jtur88 is sooper sad that he can’t catcall women in this day and age.

Women - how often do you experience catcalls?

If a woman makes a special effort to look nice when out shopping, and another woman casually remarks about her nice outfit, is that considered rude? What if a man did the same? Would that be a catcall? I grew up in the Dark Ages, when women appreciated well-meant compliments, but I’m having a hard time keeping up with the shifting boundaries. And the presumptions of misogyny until proved innocent.

How dare these modern women not understand that he, a MAN, is just trying to give them a compliment! And then he doubles down with this lovely comment:

Audacity is not what you women have, it’s what you lack. You are so steeped in fear, that you shut yourself off from the civil decency that most people are happily willing to share with you, albeit a few crude ones in the bunch, mostly harmless.
