It’s been a busy busy weekend. I can’t believe it’s nearly over.
I went to LiLi’s baby shower on Saturday afternoon. Per her request, I brought a bunch of freezeable meals instead of onesies… unfortunately, it’s hard to make squealing noises over a tupperware full of chili, but the grandmothers provided plenty of cutesy little clothes for us to squeal over. She’s looking well.
Afterwards, The Boy and I headed over to an 80’s themed party thrown by a friend of a friend. I won the best girl costume. (I’m sure most of it had to do with the fact that I was the only one committed enough to the theme to rock a side ponytail… it looked even worse than I remember, believe it or not)
We’re roasting a chicken with some sweet potatoes and apples for dinner tonight. It smells goooooood. I’m kicking myself for bringing our last bottle of good white wine to yesterday’s party, though… all that’s left in the pantry is red wine and beer. Hmph.
I’m having a bean/sausage/rice stew. It’s really good, but I’m thinking it will be even better tomorrow after everything has sat around for a bit. (I’m going to have it for lunch.)
Watched the hockey game sporadically and then the OT section. Great game.
Still haven’t started laundry. Maybe I’ll turn the TV off now. Or at least turn the sound off - I find the announcers SO annoying - and get moving on laundry.
I think someone east of the GMT line (which includes Korea, hint, hint) should start the new one - NOW, since it’s already Monday where youse guys are.
