Dear Iswote, as old fashioned as it might seem, if you go after your dream (whatever it might be) with a passion, then that passion will be a magnet to a like-minded soul. The courage to pursue anything with passion is a choice attribute in a mate, and has all sorts of nice benefits to add to that.
Finding the right partner is not the only point of the journey. Courage, confidence, self assuredness and other attributes that help you be at ease with who you are, can be acquired on the journey to your dreams.
You seem to feel that 46 is old. Not at all. Why you barely have the rough edges smoothed off. Only halfway thru your life… and ripe for some sort of adventure or quest.
I am older than you by several years, taking some time out from the tangles of relationships to pursue a change in careers/schooling. Discovering that I can live alone, with pleasure, is one of the nice side-effects of this hmmmm sabbatical.
Turning yourself into “someone else” just to attract some future woman is the worst way to find a partner. Eventually, the “real you” will leak out, and where will you be, except in a world of hurt. Find yourself first. Discover the unique and wonderful things about Iswote, and learn to enjoy them.
Then, someone who shares your dream, and enjoys the dreamer
will show up.
Best wishes for your journey
