Lazy, Drunken MMP [merged threads, edited title]

Yikes, moonie, scary stuff that. Are they going to try to figure out what caused it?

My tests came back clean for the flu. It’s not bacterial. My organs are all fine. All my levels are normal (except BP, obviously). They think it’s a virus that caused it but don’t know what kind; now that I’m rehydrated they say I should be fine. Still, it was scary… The doctor said that if I’d gone with my original plan and tried to sleep it off, I would have either woken up with organ failure or not woken up at all.

On the bright side, whatever is wrong with me does not seem to have triggered a relapse of my idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (crossing my fingers…) which means I don’t have to cancel my quadruple wisdom tooth extraction or my root canal and crown.

Sometimes being me is not nearly as much fun as you’d think.

Up caffeinated, off to work.
 Jeepers, Moonie, take care of yourself.

Dang, Moonie, that’s all kinds of scary. Glad you made it to your **Happy Birthday! ** Now take care of yourself, dammit!

I was wrong in my guess about getting up - first animal to waken me was Taz at 6:15. He must die!! I hustled all the critters out of the bedroom so FCD could sleep some more, did the potty and feeding routines, and now here I am. Even Ziva got in on the act. She’s usually very shy, but today, she kept getting in my face, literally. She’s such an attention whore when she gets in the mood…

Dreary day. In a few hours, we’ll be loading the van with stuff for daughter’s classroom. The principal will be in today doing some stuff, so we’ll help the kid get her classroom arranged and organized. She is *soooooooo *excited about teaching science. Plus to older kids than she had last year - bonus!! I’m glad someone in the household is happy about work.

**FCD **has been bored in his new job so far because they really don’t have anything to give him yet. The gov’t’s fiscal year starts Oct 1 and that’s when money will be available for him to be read into whatever project they hired him for. They reason they hired him so soon was to ensure they got him - they didn’t want to lose him. I think that says something. Anyway, he was talking to the CEO the other day about getting something to fill his days. Makes me want to go work there more than ever.

So begins my Saturday. Happy day, all! MWAH!!

Good morning all, up and caffeinating here. Envy my day … trip to Tarjay and trip to grocery store. LOL

Firstly, gentle hugs for Gotti and DH; sorry about your friend’s passing. :frowning:

Secondly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOONIE!!!

We had several t-storms roll thru yesterday afternoon, evening and even early this morning. Power was out yesterday afternoon for over two hours. It is supposed to be rainy most of the day; hopefully I’ll be able to get my trips to the stores in.

Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday. And my gosh, those strawberry cheesecake things sounds delicious, Dotty! Glad that your employer gives you the voucher for Ramadan; enjoy your evening treats, if you can. LOL

Happy Birthday Moonie!
Well, it’s Saturday morning and I’m sure you can guess what we had for breakfast. pancakes and sausage

Don’t know yet what’s in store for the day except I think it will be time for our morning nap soon.

Really? In my case, the instructions are “rest it off, since that works.” No known cause, but I do have funky blood and the docs think it’s probably related.

Damn, Moonie! That’s scary! You are far too young to have these types of problems. Take care of yourself.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MOONIE!

We have to leave in a few minutes to take my husband’s car in for its service. I’m not looking forward to having to pay for that.

After that, we’re thinking of renting a trailer and doing a dump run.

Our friends are so excited that we’re going to Hawaii with them. That makes me feel good, because they are a really great group of people. I’m so glad we met them last year.

We had fun celebrating one of these friend’s birthday last night. We had great food, great conversation and lots of laughs.

Well, I guess I should gather up my purse and follow my husband down to the dealership. Be back later.

Hugs, smooches and gropes to all and sundry.

I just got back from shopping. I needed some new unmentionables since the dogs seem to keep finding mine and ripping them to shreds. :o:p Nothing too fancy, Kmart had some Joe Boxer (women’s styles, of course) for $9 for 7 pair. Then I did my usual weekend grocery shopping for monday’s lunches. All this while TVMan slept and, in fact, is still sleeping.

Perhaps I’ll nap a bit on the couch here so I don’t wake him up by going upstairs.

<ahem> clearing throat <ahem>

It ain’t lettin’ me do caps today. Hmmm…

My work hate level has not decreased. However, it has not increased. That might be a good thing. Pitchforks and torches are lookin’ better and better though.

Dindin shall be steak, corn on the cob, sallit and pepper jack cheesey bread. MMMMMMM… plus there’s ice cream for later. YAY!!!

I am contemplatin’ an adulterated refreshment.

Yays, boos, hugs, trouts, chitlins, noogies, wedgies, gropes, how you doin’s. Distribute as needed.

Happy birthday, Moonie!

Doing laundry, been to the dog park, making out my grocery list - a typical Saturday! Mr Rebo had to work today. Poor baby! He worked 11 hours overtime this week. We sure can use that money though!

Dinner for the twins went well last night. We sat around talking and then watched the DVD of Live Aid. They surprised us by knowing most of the bands! These kids were edumacated well. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tonights dinner will be parmesan crusted tilapia, okra and tomatoes, and mac & cheese.

The vacuum cleaner stopped sucking very well, so I turned it over and saw all the dog hair wound around the roller. I was hacking away at it, when I saw how to take the cover off - so I did. Big mistake! I can’t get it back on. :frowning: Mr Rebo will figure it out, I’m sure. The problem is he said he would clean it and vacuum tomorrow. I was just trying to help! Oh, well.

Man, I’m beat! We spent 3 hours moving furniture and trying to organize all the stuff for the new 5th grade science teacher. She is sooooooo excited about this year. It was fun, but tiring.

I’ve got a tuna noodle casserole in the oven with some raisin bran muffins (in separate pans, of course.) Supper will be ready in about half an hour. After that, I’ll be assuming the knit position.

It’s pouring rain - much needed rain. Yay!

That’s all I’ve got. I’m pooped.

MOOOOOOM I am so glad you mentioned in separate pans because well, tuna noodle raisin muffins is just so ICK soundin’!

Ima go grill steaks now. We’s gettin’ hongrified.

Ima go have me another gin and tonic too. The last one was mighty tasty!

The muffins were yummerrific!! I haven’t made them in ages, but I still have the touch. I’ve got a big container of batter in the fridge - I just have to spoon it into a muffin tin and bake 'em up. I’m thinking we’ll have some for breakfast. nom nom nom

I did good for dindin too! YUM! I grilled the corn along with the steaks. Grilled corn on the cob. MMMMMMMMMMM…

Ummm… that’s all I got for now.

Took the Beemer in for its service today. It didn’t cost as much as I thought it would, but it still wasn’t cheap. What’s sad is that of the $570.00 bill, $308.00 of it was labor.

We supposedly weren’t due for an oil change for another 2000 miles, but we’ve had it over a year, and we just told them to go ahead and change it now. That was $110.00 bucks of the bill.

The rest was fluid for the brake lines, new cabin filters, and I can’t remember the other stuff. Also, there had been a factory recall, so one of the items didn’t cost us anything. Something to do with the passenger restraint system sensor.

Other than that, we’ve just sort of been chillaxin’. We went out to lunch at a mexican restaurant.

I’m a little bit full of grrrrr right now. I got a bill from MCI for phone service. I do not use them, never authorized a switch and am perfectly content to stay with my current company. I tried to call them to dispute the bill, but of course, they’re only open Monday through Friday.:rolleyes:

I’m thirsty. I’m going to go get a lemon Propel.

Thanks for the birthday and good-health wishes, all. The fluids the doctors gave me seem to have done it; I feel fine today except for tiredness stemming from a couple night of barely sleeping. Oh well. I’m alive and kickin’, where “kickin’” means “lounging in my beanbag chair”.

I got a deluxe copy of Civilization IV, cellphone minutes, and cash for my birthday (so far - more gifts will probably trickle in over the next few days. Big families for the win!). Also, went to Applebees for dinner. Not super-classy by a long shot but I wasn’t very hungry anyway. Still awaiting birthday cake, though… Oh well. Birthday planning was kinda pushed aside by medical happenings over the last couple days.

Time to go top up my phone and start gathering resources for my globe-spanning empire. Back later! :3

Happy Birthday Moonine!!!

I made it through the day. I had a nose bleed, with Evil Dead style blood flow. I went home and crashed. I woke up with Nelly sleeping next to me, and covered with Gordie’s toys.

swampy, I guess I have acceptable work hate level. I’ve been there seven years as of today.

Pie, you have some perverted schnoodles.

Morning all.

Happy (slightly belated) Birthday Moonie! and  on your health and BP!

Nothing else to add - work (Ramadan style) begins again today, working 9am to 3pm, without any sustenance during those hours (or the drive to and from the office), so I am mainlining coffee and cramming egg and cheese sandwiches down my gob! The only refreshment may be a few sips from a bottle of water, either while hiding under my desk or otherwise while hiding in the bathroom (no joke)!

Wait, wasn’t it today? For some reason I understood it was today. Goes to show how blurfy I was yesterday!

Oh well.
Cuuuumpleaaaños feeeeliiiiiz,
cuuuuumpleaaaaaaños feeeeeeeliiiiiz,
te deseamos Moooonieeeeeeee
¡cumpleaaaaaañooooooos feeeeeeliiiiiiiz!
y que cumplas muchos más (and many returns).

Back to being allergicky.
