Yeah, I’ve never worried too much about that before because I’ve never HAD problems before, but it’d just be a matter of time, I know. We have a yard now, which we didn’t have before, but I doubt the kitties care too much about that kind of boundary, regardless of fences, hehe.
Howdy Y’all! Hosebeast has been offered a tenative job elsewhere. I need appropriate/inappropriate appendage crossin’ that the offer gets firm soonest and she takes it. She’s an ok person but dumber than a box of rocks and I relish the idea of bringin’ someone in who (whom?) I can actually teach how to do the job. Somone I won’t have to continually give stuff back to to redo over and over and over again. Dare I dream?
I decided at 4.30 today my brain was sufficiently fried for the day and came home.
I did my first gentle work out since falling in a hole on Sunday when we were mowing grass. My ACL repaired knee took a dislike to stepping down so hard and I have had some pain for the past couple of days so ice and elevation and Advil were done and today I am much better. No pain just a bit stiff and now I am sat with an ice pack on it again watching mr ems lift weights and complain.
Dinner is left over flank steak from Sunday sliced super thin over a Cesar salad which I need to wash and chop here in about 15 mins or so. Other than that nuttin going here in casa de ems.
I am home from grief group and grocery shopping. Tomorrow will be my big day of studying for the final exam on Thursday. I should have studied today but it just wasn’t happening.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92 and possibly rainy. It rained a lot it appears overnight. I’m so glad. The grass has suddenly shot up so it needs mowin. I was worried I’d run out of chores to do at da cave.
gigity cool story! You get to do some neat stuff on your job.
I need more caffiene and should consider brekkie. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Le sigh.
My daughter called and said supposedly something was happening around Hughesville. Certainly nothing went down or blew up in our neighborhood, other than rain on my half-full clotheslines.
Cool story, tugig! It must be nice to cover good news once in a while.
Happy Wednesday and Happy Septic Tank Cleaning Day!!! OK, it’s not a national day - but I do have an appointment for a septic tank pumpout. Theoretically, they’ll be here in an hour or so. **FCD **has asked me to take pictures since he had to go to work (ha ha!! )
We dropped our truck off last night for this morning’s oil change appointment, and when Paul calls me, I’ll take my Scion over for its oil change and bring the truck home. Since neither of them gets driven much, they go in every 6 months instead of every 5K miles, and they just happen to come due about the same time, which makes my job easier - February and August are oil change months.
I’ll figure out the rest as it happens. Theoretically, we’ll get some sun later today. I saw a bunch of mushrooms growing in one of my tomato planters, but I doubt they’re edible. Too bad - I loves me some mushrooms…
**swampy **- ummmm, no. Thanks for playing. Besides, I have a crappy old camera that sucks the life out of its batteries pretty fast - I expect if I tried to take video, it’d melt in my hands.
When I heard the alert, I figured it was either a microburst or a waterspout, because the atmospherics were not right for an HTG tornado. Turns out it was a waterspout on the Pax River.
In other news, there’s a dawg in the parkin’ lot. This is the cause of much consternation on the part of several folks at irk. Animal control has been called. Poor thing is just lying there.
Septic tank guys are here. I had to run out to stop them from backing down my driveway - I guess when I made the appointment, I should have specified that there’s a gate off the side road… No biggie - they’re digging for the tank - fortunately, there’s no grass where they’re working, so no grass for me to replace.
