Let's plan an Occasion in the MMP!!

**flytrap **- I’ve been working my way thru Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli and Isles series. Last night’s volume was Ice Cold. I think it’s #7 or 8 in the series. I’m trying to read them in order because they often refer back to things in earlier books.

Server went down. Now it’s back, so I can get back to work. Stop distracting me!!!

blurf Happy Gordie Birthday.

Counting down to sinus surgery on Thursday. I am taking tomorrow off as well to clean the house.

I am purtified, the first load of laundry is in the dryer and the second is in the washer. I post this because the mundane minutiae of my life is what y’all live to know.

Hold that thought, I’m reading about the First Balkan War.

I want to put a load of clothes in the dryer but I need Sah-son to clean the filter for me.
I don’t know what I am going to do when he moves out. The filter is inside the dryer on the back wall and I have trouble reaching it.
He’s still sleeping, since he stays up half the night.

Morning all. Woke up about 0430 because i thought I heard a knocking…a knocking upon my chamber door. Turned out there was nothing more, so i went back to sleep until 0800.

Guess I am officially a geezer as I have applied for Medicare Part A on-line and plan to go to the Social Security Office in a bit to apply for Part B. You can do this three months before or after your 65th B-Day, so I am in the target zone. But damn, guess I am getting old.

I have also found out that Wal-Mart’s raisin bread is not as good as Pepperidge Farm’s, so I will pass on the savings in the future.

flytrap, it’s always some damn-fool thing in the Balkans. Should have let the Ottomans keep them.

Oh, and for reading, I’m currently on Undaunted Courage, a (true) recounting of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Fascinating reading but I’m moving about 2-3 chapters a day, they’re still in Montana heading back to St. Louis.

spidey, I saw that. Don’t make me break out the hob-nailed boots…

I have a deep and profound distrust for people who like raisin bread.

In that case I may just fit in around those parts.

For excitement planned for today -------- I got nothing. Its cold and damp, we’re in a cycle of snow/rain/cloudy/snow/rain/cloudy with some sleet and stuff thrown in for fun. I do note though that some time in the last 10 years around here 2-4 inches has become a “winter weather advisory” and 4-6 inches a full-blown weather. Nothing — and I mean NOTHING — 2-4 inches is worthy of prior advice and 4-6 hardly needs a warning. Now you get to 10 inches and --------

Am I right ladies or am I right?

I was at rehearsal last night. I and a bunch of other people were in the green room before rehearsal - and then a St. Bernard walks into the room! I got to pet the nice doggie.

Lunch break, slightly late. Frustratingly busy morning - probably because I’m so tired. I’m thinking tonight’s supper will be on the order of grilled cheese or a bowl of cereal. Just gotta get thru 4 more hours first.

I asked my daughter to send me a current photo - gotta see how big my future grandbaby is! Another couple of months and I’ll be planning my trip to Orlando. So much to do before then!

Sleep would be nice, tho. <yawn>

There is no chocolate on my desk. Someone needs to do something about this situation!

I like having lunch early (11 AM or so.) Haven’t had lunch yet, though, as I got up a bit too late. Ooops. Trying to recover from being sick, so that’s my excuse, I guess.

I should go to the grocery store to get some food for lunch.

Got all the paperwork filed for Medicare and now have a Social Security account of my very own, even if I don’t draw any SS benefits (on a US Government pension/retirement plan).

New problem is that the bedroom rug between the door to the bathroom and my closet (about 5-6 feet) is completely soaked. I can’t find anything wrong in the bathroom or any other place and the roof/wall are dry, so I suspect I have a leaking pipe underneath the slab. Awaiting the plumber’s callback and visit, but I suspect my bank account is about to take a hit.

Just another wonderful day.

Midget, I love big dogs (I’m partial to Newfies), glad it cheered you.

At first I balked at reading about that.

Go to your printer.

Day 2 of irking in the heat, but outside, it’s actually (feebly) attempting to snow. My body is utterly confused by the temperature swings…

This irking lark is much more tiring than studinting.

I expected better than that, but most of the countries, place names and people involved have unpronounceable names.

Can you make hot water in a keurig machine; meaning can I just put water in & get hot water out w/o putting in a pod, or is a pod required to make it work? As a non-coffee drinker & a very rare hot beverage drinker I’ve never used one & it’s freezonious here at irk today & I’d like to make some tea or hot chocolate (if I can find a tea bag or chocolate packet)…or do I have to heat the water in the microwave?

Google says “Yes.”

Laundry is all done, folded or hung up as the case may be, and all stored where it lives until used. Go Me! I have decided that field peas with snaps and stewed N.O.T. will be the sides for the chikin wings.

The very first one ever or just the first one so far this week? Those folk seem to be forever sable rattlin’ at each other.
