Let's plan an Occasion in the MMP!!

I think that would be cool, the migraine service dog.
One area I lucked out is headaches. I seldom get them and if I do it’s either sinus or temsion, both easily fixed.
I never had hangovers either.

However, Ripple is on the shit list this morning - notice the time. Three fifty two am. I have been up since about three because somebody decided that 3am is play time. He was being a wild man, got a case of the zoomies, and was trying to get at everything he knows he is not allowed to have. His latest target is my cell phone charger. We put it up where he can’t reach it but he is determined to find a way.
Should have known it was going to happen when he went to bed early.

Why am I awake at 3AM? On the days I could sleep in I usually wake earlier than normal. Not fair.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 60 Amurrkin out and cloudy (so says TWPTB) with a predicted high of 72 and rain this afternoon and tonight. We shall see. Today is geezer day at the Pubic Sto’ so I shall shop for comestibles. I shall purchase shrimpies as shrimpies 'n grits is on the menu for tonight. YUM! An easy to make tummy pleaser. I should iron shirts today. Or not. I’m willy-nilly on the subject at present.

Bumba yay for OMS! I know he’s happy to be sans stitches.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is hongry. At some point I must also purtify since I am to be out in the public at the Pubic Sto’.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Mornin’ all.

Woke up this morning feeling thoroughly grotty, with some kind of cold. The feeble amount of snow actually managed to settle, half-melt and refreeze, so it’s an ice rink out there. These two factors combined to persuade me that stayin’ in bed was the preferable option, so irk experience ain’t happening today; I’m taking a day of skiving experience instead.

Good ol’ Mel helped me sleep last night - almost uninterrupted, too! I feel almost human this morning!

Yesterday, I thought I was almost to the bottom of my drawing list - only 2 left! EXCEPT that the two are assemblies, meaning they’re composed of a bunch of other parts, all of which need drawings. The first one has 8 additional drawings. I haven’t opened the other one yet. So busy continues, which suits me fine.

The day started busy - **FCD **forgot to add pellets last night and the stove burned out. But it was still warm to the touch, so it hadn’t been off that long. The order of operations was:[ul]
[li]Let Higgs out[/li][li]Refill pellet stove[/li][li]Let Higgs in[/li][li]Feed Higgs[/li][li]Get lunch fixin’s out of fridge.[/li][li]Let Higgs out.[/li][li]Give cats their treats.[/li][li]Start making lunch.[/li][li]Let Higgs back in.[/li][li]Finish making lunch.[/li][li]Load dishwasher and start rinse cycle.[/li][li]Leave for work[/li][/ul]
That should set the tone for the rest of the day.

Happy Wednesday!!

Well, I’m an idiot.

Been trying to soak up the leaking water on the carpet using my towels, but it just kept getting worse. So finally (about 10:30PM) I get the bright idea to go out and turn off the water supply. So in jacket, jeans, and slippers I go out in the dark (and rainy) night and manage to shut it off. Then comes the problem of getting back to my feet.

Almost made it, but slipped, made it three steps trying to regain balance and fell on the sidewalk/tree lawn. I have a small cut on the nose, my left hand and wrist are sore but functioning (typing with it now), a bruise on the knee and a sore big toe. One of my slippers is still out there somewhere.

And of course I don’t have any water to wash up with…so I staggered (literally) to bed with an ice pack on the hand and slept fitfully until 0730.

So now I need to dress and procure water, rent some blowers/wet-vacuum, and buy a new pair of slippers.

Fun times for February. Guess it could have been worse.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight. Canes blew it last night(but at least the Flyers fans didn’t burn down the arena)

Yeah, I Skopje-d over the whole chapter in History class.

Pretty much

Eastern sauce is vinegar based, and tastes of heaven. Western inferior sauce is made with tomatoes. And let us never talk about South Carolina and their mustard based sauce.:dubious:

add…tomatoes?
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
BURN THE HERETIC!

MetalMouse, eek!

Midget, never met a St. Bernard, but I always pet the dog at a party.

Happy Hump Day!

I haven’t looked outside yet this morning but I am assuming it is nasty out since I got a text from the college saying they were opening at 11, and just got an update saying they are opening at 5pm.
At that point why bother?
Doesn’t matter to us since he is taking all online classes anyway.

I went back to bed a 5am and the dog has been sleeping since then, which is good since my morning went like this

Alarm goes off at 7 - I don’t need to get up yet because I don’t have to login until 8.
Alarm goes off at 7:15 - I don’t need to get up now because I don’t have to login until 8.
Alarm goes off at 7:30 - I have a half hour before I have to get up.
Alarm goes off at 7:45 - I have 15 minutes.
I wake up at 7:57 - OMG!!! I need to get up NOW!!!

Now as I type this the cat woke the dog. The cat wants his treats and is a brat every morning until I get up and give him some.
Now the dog starts, guess I need to let him out, give the cat his treats.
I’m hungry anyway.

{{{MetalMouse}}} How long before the plumber gets there? Is there no shut off valve inside the house? I guess not or you would not be going out into the wet and dark. Maybe the plumber can put one in.
When I lived in my house in the city, I had to go outside to get to the basement. It sucked when the heat would go out in the middle of the night in the wintertime.

Pure ice outside, I’m glad I don’t have anywhere to go.

Even fat ass cat didn’t stay out but a few minutes. I told him he wouldn’t like it outside, but he insisted.

Guess we need to start a GoFundMe for a keeper for **MetalMouse **since he apparently can’t be trusted to stay in out of the rain…

At least you get new slippers out of the deal, right? Hope your plumber is fast and efficient and not to ridiculously expensive.

I received my 23 & Me reports.
I am 100% European. I can qualify as a White Supremacist! I have more Neanderthal genes than 93% of the population, yet I am “unlikely to have unibrow”.
Maybe they make this stuff up.

Sitting with a hot mug of peppermint tea and watching the rain freeze. Already have some salt on the walks so I’m set until its “decide about going to work” time. I have more UPT than I have any need for and a deductible on the car so -------- I gots me some thunkin to do.

Just why did you relocate to NC; the BBQ sauce…or another reason?

Yanno, mebbe, it’s not such a bad idea.

What a lucky guy!

Well, bought a tool that can let me turn the water on and off while on my feet and rented a dryer and a carpet cleaner (the guy said just use it without adding cleaner and it’ll suck up the water just fine–we’ll see). Claims adjuster is coming tomorrow morning and reminded me i have a $1,500 deductible, so the budget will be taking a hit.

The left hand is still sore and hurts when I pick things up/put pressure on it, but I can still pick things up and put weight on it, so I don’t think anything is broken. If it keeps up this week I’ll check with the doctor.

We like the Carolina mustard and brown sugar sauce.
Dogbutt obviously “doesn’t know what tastes good”, as Mama Plant was wont to say.

Started lunch late, thanks to computer issues. But I haven’t felt homicidal, so it’s a good day thus far.

The chocolate items in the snack cabinet do not appeal. Oh, how I suffer… *<pose of woe and despair…> *

Almost ready to mop the floors in the living/kitchen and master bedroom and bath. I only have a couple loads of laundry to fold/ hang. I need to shine the appliances. Busy, busy.

I procured comestibles and stored all where it lives in da cave. Got shrimpies for shrimpies 'n grits. Peas 'n carrots shall be the vegetative matter. The rain is upon us but hasn’t started yet. Looks like it could get nasty. No matter to me as I am inside and intend to remain inside and dry.

MetalMouse ouch on both the hurt and the deductible/plumbin’ woes!

MOOOOOOM they should stock Godiva chawklits just for you. Tell 'em I said so.

Stopped by just to say I am seriously thinking about working; the roads aren’t too terrible and should be better when I am coming home. Which, given everything, ain’t gonna be three hours after I arrive today the way its been lately. Our number of no-shows and late trucks will be epic.

Shrimp 'n grits. I do approve.

MetalMouse I am sorry for your woes. Your house is most ill-behaved. I hope things improve shortly.

I fell asleep around 5am this morning, and got up a few times since. I think I will look of an earlier flight home. My stomach is not doing great. I’m thinking I might be fighting the flu and should hie me home whilst I can.

Happy Wotansday all.
