The power went out for a bit.
I took a nap.
Got a finnal text from the college saying they were going to be closed all day.
Everything outside is still covered in ice.
The trees are pretty.
The dog is being such a brat. I think he needs some new toys, although he has a wide variety of them.
Generic hamburger helper lasagna for supper, because it’s quick and easy and I don’t feel like messing with a whole meal. I did chop up an onion to brown with the ground beef - wish I had some mushrooms, too, but I don’t. I do have shredded mozzarella and parm for toppings - yum!
Apart from that, a lazy evening ahead. Much chillage. That’s about all I can handle today. 
Spidey shrimp 'n grits is a classic low country i.e. South Keerliner/Jawja coast dish and it is nummy! Also easy to make. OK, there are versions that call for all kinds of ridiculous ingredients but it is most usually a very simple dish. A brunch favorite for sure but also a good supper dish. Needless to say we supped and it was YUM!

Sis called last night. Nelson’s grandfather passed yesterday. It was expected, as his estimated age was 18-20 years old. RIP Popo. You were a little fighter.
My ongoing project at irk received a shot in the arm today. I had a meeting with one of our geeks in operations and we’re putting together som eprocesses and setting up a trigger report that will begin with production and the warehouse to get stuff out of valuable space that is no longer saleable. Yay! My reports should be getting much easier.
Amen…good BBQ stands on its own, the sauce/rub adds (it appears MMPers take their sauce seriously :p), but that is the first thing I do when ever I try new BBQ - take a bite sans any condiment…then decide, sauce to accent? Or, yikes, to drown? But there have been some delectable times the bottle gets push off to the side…
Already removed 7 inches of the horrible white stuff from my driveway, fortunately, I stocked up on gas the other day as shoveling is not a welcome option, looks like the snow is stopping soon, but whatever is out there will have wait until morning, snow blowing in the dark is depressing…not to mention, the town plow truck drivers seem to get up early and relish in plowing in clean driveways from the night before…
Did anyone book that cruise yet?
MIL called to find out if we were being snowed in. yeah, right - we got rain. Just rain. She seems to love to worry about us in the weather.
There’s a sad lack of chocolate in this house. Unless I want to slurp down some chocolate syrup… Um, no. So saaaaaaad… 
When I buy Nestle Quik, it’s in the squeeze bottle so I can have a slug when needed. Just sayin

As I drove to work guess what happened? My windshield cracked right before my eyes. Nothing hit it, I didn’t hit anything ---- it just started as this inch long thing and as I watched it grew to basically bisect the entire thing. My car now looks like its wearing bifocals and let me tell you the oncoming headlights coming home looked ----- strange ------ as they crossed it.
For extra points, guess what I get to get up early tomorrow and do? 
(Cheaper than I expected. $275 basically done and done from a seriously name brand place)
Had a rehearsal tonight for my wind band.
Playing in the Gilbert and Sullivan orchestra tomorrow night, and for the next few days, as well as a couple days next week.
Worked, came home, made dinner.

***COOOOOOOOOOLD ***and windy out there this morning. I stopped to fill the car, since Thursday is 5¢ off per gallon and I was below half a tank. I wasn’t ready for the blast of winter when I crawled from behind the wheel - DANG!!
But I’m here with a pile of work to do. Hope I don’t doze off - another weird night of weird dreams and frequent wakeage due to said dreams. It may be a 3-Diet-Coke morning. Other than that, just another day in paradise.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 46 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 64 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Rain is supposed to move in tomorrow. We shall see. I get to wait for the arrival of my meds via FedEx this mornin’. I have to sign for 'em. We shall sup upon Stouffer’s frozen lasagna (which I shall thoughtfully bake), sallit, and cheesey garlic bread. NUM!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. I suppose I should also purtify so as not to frighten the FedEx delivery person.

Morning all. got a good nights sleep and am feeling much better, the hand is still sore and stiff and my left big toe is an interesting assortment of colors, but at least I don’t feel half-dead like yesterday (I seem to take heavy falls about once a year and it takes about 24 hours to regain my normal operating speed). The Insurance adjuster is coming to check the house in about an hour, then I probably need to turn the water back on for a bit to clean up me (bath) and house (dishes).
Tonight is Neil DeGrasse Tyson night, he’s appearing in Huntsville and I bought a ticket weeks ago. Man is a compelling speaker and lots of fun to listen to, expect to enjoy the night.
ruble, strange. I wonder if there was a small fracture you couldn’t see that just kept getting pressure and finally went full crackage. Glad it isn’t to costly.
I don’t eat BBQ, so I have no opinion of the various sauces.
