Supper tonight was delish if I do say so myself. Roasted Butternut squish, steamed broccolli, grilled poke chops seasoned with cumin,chipotle chili and paprika with a fried onion, mushroom, blue cheese sauce…Yummy! mr ems is now passed out on the couch as he he so full 'cos he ate an extra poke chop to finish up the sauce. Piglet!

Almost sorta got to sleep in till 6 - **FCD **took the doggies out the first time, and I took Scruffy when she needed a do-over. So I’m up. It’s quite chilly, even with the windows partly closed. Yay for autumn!!
I’ve been building a shopping list all week, but I know I’m missing something. After I take my sweetie out to breakfast, I need to make a wal-mart run, then come home and do laundry. Don’t you wish you had my life?
Ziva seems to have finally recovered from the Invasion of the InLaws. She hid most of last week, but now she’s out and about as usual, so I’m glad.
That’s about it for this ridiculously early hour on Saturday.

The chikin which I rubbed with <snerk> butt <snerk> rub last night is outta da fridge to come to room temp or whatever it is you’re supposed to let meat do for half an hour to take the chill off. As soon as there’s a bit more daylight I shall start the smokin’ process. The good thing is with my little electric smoker it takes three hours and I pretty much don’t have to fool with it, just let it do its smokin’ thang!
JDD, his partner and MOG want to get in the pool today. Ummm… the night time temps for the past two nights have been high 50s and the daytime highs low 80s. More power to ‘em gettin’ in the water. With a NNE slight breeze blowin’ today, that’ll be water that’s a might chilly. BRRRRRR!
Ok, time for more caffiene and some brekkies, then chikin smokin’!
It’s like psychedelic, dudes!!! I’ve got a bit of a visual migraine going on while writing this.
Mmmms, I just looked up Lima, OH and I’m sorry to say that it’s 2 hours and 50 minutes away from where I live. That would be a bit of a drive to just say hello and have dinner.
Not sure what’s on the agenda today other than the usual breakfast plans and also getting rid of this swirly vision which is getting worse as I type.
I forgot to say, “Congratulations, Mr. Rebo!!!” 
And while I’m back, I’m sure that you wanted to know that breakfast has been postponed until lunch because walking around with the swirlies made me sick so TVMan had freezer waffles and I had cold pizza for breakfast.
Fortunately, the swirlies are mostly gone but I’ve got sort of a dull headache so I think it will be morning naptime for both of us very soon.
Back from breakfast and chores. I’ve got the yard for niece’s and nephew’s afghans. First load in the washer. **FCD **and daughter just headed to the convenience center to dump the trash and the recycling, then they’re going to Petco where daughter’s critters are being photographed. This should be interesting, especially her psycho cat.
So for a little while, I have the house to myself. I can, um, vacuum in peace? Clean the kitchen without interruption? Dust in solitude? Yay?
I love my weekends…

Chikin is done. What’s to be et tomorrow is all put away in handy storage containers. Tomorrow mornin’ it can be put into a slow cooker on low and will be perfection. Tonight’s chikin is settin’ in a slow cooker crock but not slow cookin’ as of yet. I’ll do that around threeish to keep it warm and tender.
The sausages have been consumed as lunch. MMMMMMMM… Nummerific! Sausage dawgs!
Now Ima go watch fools get into the pool.
I’ve been to the Farmer’s Market, where I obtained cheese, popcorn, red peppers and lettuce. Forced to have some popcorn when I got back. Yum.
Now I’m going out in search of the elusive perfect rolling backpack and possibly some other stuff.

Load #4 in the washer, and the other 3 are on the lines. It’s so lovely out today, I dare not use the dryer!
I decided not to vacuum or dust as our cleaning crew is coming Monday anyway. So there! And I think we’ll have weenies for supper - easy to cook and clean up after. I’ll do some real cooking tomorrow. It’s supposed to be rainy anyway.
Got my haircut - I only had a trim but I freaked mr ems out when I told him it was shorter than chin length (I have looooong hair). He was maaaaad when I talked to him on the phone. Good job I am use myself I guess! He is not the type to even try to tell me what to wear or how to wear my hair or anything like that but he does like my long hair. Something to grab onto…
I have also ran 60 bajillion other errands and now I will scrub bathrooms and wash floors and dust. Yay me!
Howdy, y’all! Up and hopefully not caffeinating. Hubby picked up coffee this morning at the store, and I have to do decaf now. He may have accidentally picked up the half-caff: I think he did, cause I’m all jittery and headachy.
He’s feeling really good. The stitches look great: he got to take the big, bulky bandage off this morning. He’s in some pain, but has some good meds.
Home after a long hunt for a reasonably-built rolling backpack. Went to Target, Kohl’s, Dick’s and, finally, Meijer’s, where I found a very nice, red backpack. There are all kinds of wheeled ones online, but I wanted to see it IRL because several of the ones I’ve seen haven’t been very stable. The one I found is nice and stable, a pretty color and should hold everything I need to schlepp back and forth from work: lunch, purse, book and my standard travel kit.
Got groceries while I was at Meijer’s and also stopped at the Mexican grocery for tortillas.
Now I need to finish cleaning out the fridge and then it’s time to make dinner. Potatoes with ham and cheese, I think. And salad. And some strawberries. Yum.

An update of sorts. The water is out of the fields and low spots in the roads, so that sort of flooding is over. The rivers and streams are just now getting started, because they can’t handle the runoff. No services for me tomorrow because my usual fishing holes are flooded out.
There is a town named Windsor about 40 miles from me that made national news because the flooding is so bad.
Had one run last night, for a young and cute woman having a panic attack. I was mildly groped, too. This is the first time some scuzzy addict wasn’t the groper.
No, I don’t encourage them, nor do I make an issue. Every time it has happened, the groper has been in some kind of emotional distress, so I pass it off as a plea for help. I will draw the line at outright assault, if that ever happens. For the official record.
Cleaned more peecan downfall out of the yard, and found a new sinkhole in the process. At least it didn’t try to eat me like the last one.
