I just got an email from **sari **- she’s still in the ER (since 7:30 last night) waiting to be admitted to a regular room. She could use all the good thoughts and prayers she can get with more testing in the offing. Poor thing…

I heartily recommend everyone acquire security camera systems; I have 2 systems installed where I live right now, and they have caught many an interesting sight.
Such as hit & run driver, snow plow hits car, people break in my neighbor’s house, people break in my neighbor’s truck (same fucking night!), and then of course possum #1 and possum #2.
And that’s just the stuff I’m sharing. There’s other stuff that I have ready to share if needed, but it’s locked up for the moment.
I have also been considering purchasing some Game Cameras which are motion activated still cameras used to capture wildlife pictures in the wild. They provide high quality photos day & night which can be helpful for gathering license plates and faces.
Cheap security DVR systems are down to $300 or less. I heartily recommend the investment.

What I thought was a hyper extended knee is a blood clot. I’m in the horse pistol for a couple of days and on rat poison. Y’all may see a lot of posts for a while.

I got an email remindin’ me that tomorrow is my team’s turn to mow the back forty over to the church house. We’ll start at eight thirty a.m. and either get it finished or stop if’n it gets too hawt. It’s a lot of grass and amongst pee-kahn trees but pretty easy to mow. It’ll make me appreciate cee-mint pond time all the much more.
**missred **good luck with that! When I shattered my femur in 2008 I ended being hospitalized again with 12-15 clots in that leg, and was on the poison for 9 months or so.
Fortunately it is a very curable problem, especially if caught before something real bad happens.

Wife just got off phone w/ boy’s mother who’s flying back in today. “Mortified” probably best sums up her current state. She called the other moms and said all three boys will be over Monday to apologize, do any remaining clean-up and any yardwork we might desire. I really don’t want them in my yard but our next door neighbors have had medical issues so I’ll contact them to find out if and how they can be helped.
Neighborhood-wide emails went out about the carjacking. It was 5 houses down from us, the newest neighbor in our entire community. If it can happen there, it can happen anywhere.
ETA: They saw him at the bank, followed him home and all three pulled pistols in his driveway as he sat making a cellphone call. They had to drive in front of my house so my camera would have got them, this to go with the victim’s good description of the car and events.
Thanks for the good thoughts everyone! Still waiting on some test results and a visit from my PCP to see when they’ll spring me. My neighbor will bring some spare drawers an my tablet after he comes home from work.

In other news, after much high level discussion via email, it has been decided we shall begin mowage of the chuch house yahd at 7:30 Ante Meridian (that means mornin’ flytrap :p) tomorrow. Mayhaps we will have enough time to accomplish mowage before the heat gets too bad. Right now, as I post, the heat index is 112! :eek:
Wow, we’re only at 104. Break out the flanel. It does tend to limit the yard activities to very early or very late. Can’t wait for fall. It is just around the corner, right?

My cousin is doing better and may be out of the hospital later today. Everyone, please take care of clot issues, and then be very careful when you’re on the rat poison (blood thinner); that’s what my cousin was taking for the a-fib. She is doing much better, and for that I am grateful, so thank you very much for the thoughts and prayers!!

Oh, FCM, I’ve been thinking about those pickles too, but let me tell you this - when Papa Johns (yah, I know, I really shouldn’t have patronized them, but … :() had their double cheeseburger pizza, they had pickles on that and boy it was delicious!!! LOL Especially good with the thin crust pizza. Unfortunately, that was a special pizza, they don’t do it any more.
She didn’t share any details - just that she’d been there all night and her doctor wanted her admitted, then there were going to be some tests. And she was exhausted, as you might imagine. So you know pretty much all I know. Poor sari…
And dang, **red **- you didn’t have to get yourself hospitalized - if you’d just asked, we’d have paid more attention to you!

**FCD **just got home a few minutes ago. His crabber changed his return time to an hour later. He’s eating lunch now, and the dishwasher is washing dishes. I’ve been watching NCIS and shawling. I think I shall go back to Mark Harmon and my shawl.
