The cheeseburger casserole does NOT contain cream of mushroom soup! LOL It’s actually a bit like a real cheeseburger, with pickles even. You are supposed to use the crescent roll sheet dough on top, so it’s like a bun, but only on top. The recipe even calls for sesame seeds on top of the dough! I’m going to try to cut and paste this, hopefully it will work!
CRESCENT TOPPED CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE
Prep time 20 minutes
Total time 50 minutes
6 Servings
1-Pound 80/20 ground beef
¼-Cup chopped onion
¼-Cup chopped dill pickles
½-Cup water
½-Cup ketchup
1-Tablespoon yellow mustard
1/8-Teaspoon ground pepper
1½-Cups shredded American cheese
1-(8 ounce) Can Pillsbury Recipe Creations refrigerated seamless dough sheet
1-Egg, beaten
1-tablespon sesame seed
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 2 quart (11”x7”) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In a 10 inch skillet over medium heat cook ground beef and onion for 7 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain. Stir in pickles, water, ketchup, mustard and pepper.
Spoon into prepared dish and sprinkle with cheese. Unroll dough and press into 12”x8” inch rectangle. Cut into six squares and place on top of the cheese. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seed. Bake 25 to to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown.
Please note, we haven’t tried this yet, but my cousin did make it and her husband really liked it, so it’s good. I think I’d probably use grated cheddar or even monterey jack cheese, it would depend on what you like on your cheeseburger, maybe?

**tarra **- I think the only change I’d make to that recipe is to put the pickles on after it’s cooked, as slices. Hot pickles sounds weird to me, altho I’ve eaten them deep-fried, so what do I know… 
No rain again last night - I think I’ll mow today, then set out the sprinkler to get a couple of my sadder-looking gardens. Which means it’ll rain tonight, right?

Quick update… Yea for security cameras. It captured three kids in the act, one of whom had a crush on my daughter be she had no interest in him. They were not the three that had tried to break into the convenience store so I’m calling the Constable this am to let him know we’ll handle this with the parents.
The kid now knows we know and I understand his pants have been filling with poopy.

Woah, the Constable just told me those three guys in hoodies that tried to rob the convenience store then came into our neighborhood and committed an armed carjacking of one of our neighbors. He’s at my house now to get our camera hard drive so the police can review it.

I’m back from the credit union. I just finished trimming back the forsythia outside the bedrooms and hacking off some branches that were blocking the side gate. We almost never use that gate, but it’s where the oil guys come in to fill our tank, so it needs to be clear. And now it is.
**FCD **is mowing - the easy way - he’s riding. I was going to weed, but it’s soooooooo humid, I got soaked just doing the little bit I did. I’m looking forward to the cool weather in the British Isles. Stoopit heat better not follow me!!!
