I overslept today but since I don’t have much to do it doesn’t matter. Today is laundry day - oh joy and happiness. I need to order some groceries as well.
It’s grey outside today. A high of 81 is predicted. Somebody closed my window while I was gone and I haven’t opened it. I should have last night, the air outside is cooler.
Thirty one more days til closing.
Yes, sorry to be unclear. She and her buddy started a sweet jalapeno company several years ago. They’re fantastic and on a small scale restaurants and a few stores have kept her busy trying to keep up with demand. If this grocer picks them up too then they’re going to need to expand in a big way. They should find out today sometime. I’m really pleased for her no matter what happens.
**flytrap **- the bathroom was built for our daughter’s apartment and she chose the color. When she moved out, we reclaimed the basement for a workshop, but kept the bathroom.
**BBBobbio **- we also had a blue princess phone (on the back of the toilet in the pic) in the blue bathroom. We have since gotten rid of the blue fixtures and made a more conventional bathroom. Oh, and I sold the pink phone at my recent yard sale. 
Who would be fool enough to buy a pink…
Er, that’s nice. 
Not only was it pink, it was a rotary dial phone - weighed a ton!! Probably worth lots more than the $5 I sold it for…

So apparently the piggies are happy enough with their new environs, at least it appears so because the darker colored one Crys decided he wanted to hump his brother, who did not appear to share the sentiment. So from 4am to 8am there was squealing, chattering, running, colliding and all other sorts of mayhem, about 4 feet from my head.
I did not sleep well, and what sleep I did get was full of rather strange dreams.
I refused to yell at them, or otherwise try to stop it. I have to believe that they have dealt with this in the past, and as I am trying to establish the new happy home for them I didn’t want to frighten them or mess things up.
On a positive note at least I now they’re happy, or one is anyway…
Finally Sah-son is being added to my insurance and even better I am getting better insurance at a lower cost.
Now I have to get cleaned up, been trying to get a shower for hours and the phone keeps ringing and the SDMB keeps calling my name.
Those little piggies are so cute. Almost makes me want to get one. Almost.
Maybe after I move.
I wanted my late FILs red phone but it was a rental and we had to return it. Although the temptation to just claim it was lost and pay for it was high.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Lucky me! I get to go to a one-hour open season insurance meeting just to say, like I do every year, “Retired Military. Tricare. Can I go now?”
Sean you are the envy of us all. Really. The jealousy is just overwhelmin’!
The only thing I get to do is an hour long conference stuff. Why can’t I get cool stuff like Sean! Harrumph!

That’s actually a Trimline phone.

When I was a kid, we had your basic desk phone in Mom & Dad’s bedroom and your basic wall phone in the kitchen. I know for a little while, we even were on a party line. It was a HUGE deal when we went from dial to touch-tone!
And that’s my little trip down memory lane.
Today, while driving back from pickin’ a (free!) wax melter up from someone so’s I can finally try batik properly, I passed a tow truck. On the back, properly tied on and secured with all the straps, was one of these.
This made me quite happy.
Sadly, I was driving, so I couldn’t get a photo.
I’s hongree but my sweetie doesn’t want to eat till 6. He’s installing the new stereo and speakers on his bike. But I’ve got everything pretty much ready to go - ham steak, twice baked N.O.T.s, Amish 'maters, and pineapple bits. And ice cream for dessert later.
Now that there’s a piany in the livin’ room I foresee MOOOOOOM, FCD, Higgs, Taz, and Ziva all sittin’ around it singin’ show tunes. A real family picture!
Dindin has been ingested, leftovers from Sunday. OYKW is at his place now dealin’ with paperirk from irk. I complain about paperirk, but compared to the stuff he deals with, mine ain’t nuttin’. Poor thing.
We had a yummy supper. **FCD **did the dishes and I took the trash out - we so domestical!! Later, we’ll have ice cream. Yum.
Higgs is gnawin’ on the ham bone - it’s as quite as she’s been all day. I opened the keyboard cover to see if we’d get kittehs on the keys.
