Looking back – how history will interpret the MMP

Home tired, hurting(This getting old business sucks). I thought my PC died, but it was just the UPS that was dead.

glad to hear the news, Nola

Ditto for Tigmom mom.

Nelly does SBDs. She couldn’t match Maggie Wonderbeagle’s though. Think “30 gallon black trash bag full of dead skunks on an asphalt parking lot in Fayetteville in July” bad.

:waves at Gnat:

makes note not to buy same brand dog food as doggio

You’re Mom sounds like my Dad, rigs.

I know more than I really want to know about some of the women in his life. At least I got him to stop bitchin about Mom to me all the time. (It’s in the PAST! I heard enough of it when the divorce was fresh…)

In other news I have decided I need to clean out my room. Seriously clean it out. As in… I need to purge my books (I have a whole shelf that I practically never touch) and the boxes of stuff in my closet and the clothes that I never wear. I can’t let myself feel guilty, or think ‘maybe I’ll use this in the future…’ if I haven’t used it in the past year it needs to get OUT.

Except my yarn/fabric/notions/patterns stash(es).

I **like [/B] that Religious Radish, gt. That’s just my kind of plant, a little unusual, but my favorite color. I love, love, love deep reds. I know just where I’d put that plant too.

We haven’t done much since coming home from our work out. Well, let me amend that…we haven’t done anything. Oh, I cooked dinner, but that was pretty much the extent of any “work” around the house today.

I hope the nuptials for FCM’s daughter are proceeding without any hitches. I swear, that poor woman will need a WEEK of sleep when she returns home.

Morning. Back to work today after 3 days off. Sigh … Must remember to make clinic appointment. Hmmm, must also search for pronouns …

Morning! Quick post here as the internet is NOT free. And the batteries are low.

I can officially confirm that **GT ** exists and is NOT an axe murderess. :stuck_out_tongue:

More later…

Free the internet!!! What?

Stayed up too late. Was awake before 7 anyway. Pronouns missing too.

Back later.

GT

:giggling at headline:
Thanks, everyone! I’m glad I have more objective backup about my kid being adorable. His Dad’s a big ol’flirt himself, Mahna (cough, hmm, says the girl with eight husbands) and I expect the kidlet will be exactly the same.

It’s too early. Anyone want any chocolate cake with peanut butter icing? We’ve got lots left.

Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Purtification for churchification to commence soon. It’s brunch Sunday and Ima take some baked beans with sausage and apples in ‘em. ‘Tis good and I’m sure they will get all et up. I’m also gettin’ a haircut afterwards. Da bear is lookin’ a might shabby on top of the haid.

Ok, off to get more caffiene and purtify.

Later Y’all!

morning all, up and caffeinating … apparently I’ve mis-placed a few capital letters.

I am discovering how strong the connection for me is between coffee and cigarettes. GAH! I don’t want to give up my coffee too, but if it comes to that I will.

Woo hoo, glad to hear that GT and CutiePie had a good time.

I’m a bit grumpy. And now I’ve gotta go grocery shopping on top of that. Ah well, must be done.

Morning, off to work. Glad to hear gt and Pie didn’t axe murder each other.

Heh. There are real people behind those names in the MMP. And the ones I’ve met appear not to be axe murderers. Who knew?

W00T!!!111 First on 10!

Good morning one and all. I am up and caffienating. I figure I’ll have a cup of joe then hit the shower because we’re all going out to breakfast around 10:00 this morning.

My back is making me feel like some 80 year old woman. Good grief, it hurts like a mo-fo.

The weather appears to be…sucky. Ah well, there’s stuff needs doing around the house. We’ve got all summer to play on the boat.

That’s all I’ve got for now. When do we get to see pics, gt?

What kind of books are you purging?

Y’know, we have been remiss. We have to help rigs pick out something to wear for graduation. I suggest this site for ideas.

Bwahahahaha, Spaz, just take off the black dress the librarian is wearing. What’s underneath would make **rig’s ** library the place to be for men of all types!

I’m still trying to wake up.

Well… I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. I’ve just had my little meltdown over TVMan and TheEx. after he spent some time alone with her yesterday (because I am an extremely nice girlfriend) she’s already called this morning. I am so far over her that you have no idea. Kind of like as far as the east is from the west. Ugh. So anyways, we’re still here at the convention. I’m hiding in the car because I’ve been crying for the last hour and he’s buying a couple tvs. Rigs, I know what you mean about a Pontificater. That’s definitely TVMan’s style. And in addition to that he believes that if he’s explained himself well enough (to his satisfaction) that whatever he has explained must be completely true and fully understood by the listener.
Alright, thanks all for listening. I do feel better now. When we get back I’ll give you Pie’s tour of early television. Alas, there is just one picture of our mini-mmp fest and it was taken hastily as apparently TheEx couldn’t afford to spend any more time with TVMan and also didn’t cook dinner like she said she would so I had to go pick him up and take him to dinner. Nope. Not bitter at all. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi all. I haven’t caught up, but I just feel so bad I had to post this story.

I heard both dogs out in the backyard barking and carrying on, and birds squawking and screeching. WTF? I went out there and they had a baby flegdling bluejay. I don’t think they actually bit it. The parents were swooping and divebombing and carrying on! I caught it, then didn’t know what to do with it. I set it on the top crossboard of the fence. It glided (it can’t exactly fly yet) down into the neighbor’s yard, and they have a dog too! I peeked through the fence, and he was chasing it around. Poor little baby! It seemed to be ok when I held it, not bleeding or missing any feathers.

<sob>

Eek! I hope the baby bird is okay. You couldn’t have known, Rebo, don’t feel bad.

:: hugs for Pie ::

Last night I hung out with Mr Cheerio, girlfriend, and their visiting friends from DC. We watched bad movies all night - it was great. The weather is absolutely lovely today and we made tentative plans to go on a picnic near the lake.

Yesterday in the car we had the following conversation:

Mr C: So how’s your, ah, personal life been going, Haze?
Me: Oh, it’s fine.
Mr C: Really? :: startled :: Everything’s good? No, uh, drama this week?
Me: Nope!
Mr C’s Friend: Um, why do you sound surprised, Mr C?
Mr C:  Trust me, if you knew this girl . . .
Me: :: cheerfully :: I have my own personal soap opera going on.
Mr C’s Friend: :dubious: I . . . see.

I can’t say I blame Mr. Cheerio for being more than a bit surprised, Haze. Your life has a plot that’s possibly even more improbable than a soap opera. Did you try to explain what was going on, or did you just leave it at that?

 about the baby bird, Rigs. Hopefully it’ll be okay.

I sure hope FCM survives the whole wedding ordeal. Without killing someone! Most weddings have enough drama surrounding them to make homicide a likely possibility somewhere along the line. So I hope everything went off smoothly and drama-free!

It’s a lovely day today; the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing lightly, and it’s a wonderfully comfy temp. I really should be all energetic and get bunches of stuff done, but I’m just not feeling ambitious at this point. So it’s more coffee for me. (No, not the mice-sampled stuff; we haven’t taken the plunge with that yet.) And then back to contemplating all the things I should be doing. Like laundry. Except that Papa Tigs’ dirty clothes get first dibs on the weekend, so that’s a great excuse not to do anything about my big pile.
