In the scene where she picked up the letter, she simply gave the guy her name, and he handed her the letter. She definitely did have money in her lap that probably came out of the letter, but she didn’t have to show any ID.
Hurley was present when the marshal told Jack, and he saw Kate’s mug shots back in episode 2 or 3.
I’m not feelin’ none of y’all on the Kate Hate for kissing Tom. It was a kiss, but they both clearly wanted it and that’s all it was – one kiss full of regret for what might have been. I’ve felt a powerful desire for one last kiss for closure. Never have, though. I’d rather have done it impulsively and apologized afterward than go around regretting never doing it.
Also, I don’t know why Tom hopped in the car. Kate tried to get him to get out of the car. Cop drew his gun. Tom still wouldn’t get out of the car. Of course Kate feels guilty for what happened next but he made choices, too.
Hurley was right there helping when Jack was working on the marshall.
So…Straight Kate Hate?
I didn’t read that scene the same way at all. Charlie suggested Claire hang out with him in LA, and her response seemed offly lukewarm and off-putting to me. He’s obviously much more into her than she is into him.
Okay, so after a whole episode about secrets being awkwardly and painfully revealed to one another, at the end, when Sun confesses poisoning the water to Jack, Jack immediately says, “I don’t think anybody else needs to know about this”? …I don’t know about you, but I thought that was pretty funny.
Oh, and Claire got awfully skinny awfully quick after giving birth, didn’t she?
Claire might have been thrown by the offer but she didn’t seem put-off by it. Trimming Charlie’s hair is still kind of intimate, tho. All that face touching, the back of the neck. I agree he’s obviously more into her but they’ve de facto paired up already.
After 35-odd days together, shouldn’t there be at least some pairing up and extra-curricular boinking going on? I say yes, the Mrs. sez no. What do y’all think?
Canadian here - and yes, CFL said that someone took her baby. Then it cut to Claire holding her baby and looking all worried.
Is there any reason why they have different teasers in the US and Canada? Does it air in other countries? Or are they delayed a few weeks or so and teasers aren’t used?
It might be because they show fewer commercials in Canada, and they have to fill the time, so they show longer teasers rather than just screenshots of Kate in a bikini.
You say “…screenshots of Kate in a bikini…” like it’s a bad thing!
As for extra-curricular boinking…maybe. I’d be more concerned about food, shelter, rescue, and the TCM than I would be about getting some action from an under-washed, under-shaved, roots-showing, same-clothes-for-the-last-month, no chocolate, no Midol, “It’s all your fault, you bastard!” survivor female. But ask again after two months!
That’s only true IF the toy plane was in the safety deposit box, which hasn’t been established yet.
Again, what she pulled out of the safety deposit box was too thin to have been the toy plane. If it was supposed to have been, there was a goof by the props department.
The channel we watch last night - can’t remember which - has the show end with the with Canadian version of teaser for next week. Then suddenly there’s a glitch and we catch the end of some other tv show, and then Lost credits role for a second time and then see a second teaser. It’s not the first time it’s happened, but it is the first time we noticed two different teasers were played.
Well, they have the food and water thing pretty licked. Everybody is nasty, which means (to them) nobody is nasty. There’s very little one can do in regards to a rescue in their situation, and the fact remains there’s very little to do on a deserted island - even if you golf.
With 45-odd people around, most of them doing very little, I’d think that boredom would lead to at least one sex act in that time!
I agree, and I posted that theory right after the episode where Ethan kidnapped Claire. It seems like the island was used for some sort of biological experimentation and that things went wrong (eg, TCM). The hatch could very well be some sort of biohazard storage facility-- hence no way to open it from the outside, althugh the window is a bit odd.
I haven’t been following this thread through all the episodes, so apologies if this has been mentioned before.
There is definitely an emphasis on “The Others”, but it became even more pronounced in the previews for next week’s show. In an earlier show when we first saw Ethan Rom, once I knew his role it didn’t take long to see that his name was an anagram for “Other Man”. I wonder if this will be mentioned, or if it will end up as trivia in the ubiquitous DVD collection.
If Anna Madrigal shows up on the island, though, I’m gone…
What about Shannon and Syaid on the beach with the torchlight the night Boone dies? So they didn’t show it but it was sure implied that there was more going on there than eating just dinner.
