I’m usually well into a bottle of wine by the time “Lost” comes on, so I’ll have to watch again and see (or hear). I thought she sounded like someone trying to fake a vaguely Irish accent. She didn’t sound Australian at all to me, and I’m usually pretty good at detecting accents.
The log from the computer is a log of times that the code was entered in The Swan. The numbers are time entries, 108 minutes apart, followed by the word “accpted”. The thing I haven’t figured out yet, is what the times mean. If in the entry, 41602117:05, everything to the left of the colon is supposed to be hours, that’s about 4,749 years.
Also, all of the times shouldn’t be exactly 108 minutes apart, since the code can be entered four minutes prior to the clock reaching 0:00. I only looked at a couple of the entries on Locke’s printout, but the ones I checked were 108 minutes apart.
I wondered if that was the what the difference in those numbers could be but I didn’t think of it until after I signed off and was trying to sleep so I didn’t check it out.
Perhaps it just enters anything between 104 and 108 minutes as 108 minutes and only records other times it if was over 108 minutes. I wonder if he can find the time on the printouts when Henry was supposed to have entered the code?
I doubt seriously that the printout is meant to be examined too closely by the fans…the main thing it is supposed to represent is the fact that the Swan has been monitored… I’m willing to bet that the printout was created with a simple basic or pearl script so that the numbers were exactly 108 minutes apart… I doubt that there are any clues otherwise.
problem is that even with that… if Micheal had a struggle with henry NEXT TO THE COUCH THAT AL WAS ON she would not have been sitting neatly on the couch…
Yeah… he’s so busted. (or atleast should be).
Anybody remember what the date on Orentation Station 3 was? Last night’s film was 1980. I want to say that the Swan film was earlier–which might mean a regeneration of the good doctor’s arm.
But I could be totally making that up.
for those who had VCR/DVR problems, you can watch the episode on ABC.com for free…
My wife commented last night that the previous film was dated 1981. So no regeneration, but an injury due to something going wrong somewhere? Maybe?
Maybe a polar bear ripped his arm off?
So now the question may or may not become: What were the Pearl occupants watching if the Swan wasn’t established until a year later? Most likely, the films were just made in advance, but I hesitate to jump to any conclusions with this damn show.
Ah, ha ha, ha ha. I needed a good laugh this morning. The producers of this show are fond of including snippets that can really only even be seen by pausing your TiVo or VCR (e.g., the map of the island). There’s no way they would include something like this and simply not realize that mass amounts of fans were going to scrutinize it line by line.
But maybe they just forgot about the 4-minute window.
I think “breaking strain” has to be two words, not one. After you enter that, you get a message saying that you’re logged in and then you can do the other stuff.
Well I’ll ask a couple of obvious questions.
How far can those “air tube” transportation setups go? I wouldn’t think they would go miles or anything. Maybe a few hundred yards tops.
So wouldn’t you think they would try and track down where the tube ended up?
Also, did they check all the note books? Maybe there was one that was only partially completed?
It also looked like there were other cabinets there as well. Did they rifle through those?
Next step:
So you think Locke and Ecko will look for the other hatches?
Oh and a couple observations, do you think the ferry they were talking about is the boat that Bluebeard used to snag Waaaaaaaaaalt?
And I happened to see both previews (Canadian and American), the American was much more intriguing. What do you suppose the bright light that everyone is looking at on the beach? My wild ass prediction is that it’s a mushroom cloud. Why? Why not…

The real question is: Will Locke and Eko tell their Lostaway compadres about the Peral Station? If they are true to *Lost *tradtion, they won’t. Knowledge is power.
Maybe I’m just mental, but to me there was a jarring, weird visual while Sawyer and Kate were walking up the beach. Just after she said, “She picked your pocket?” a blonde woman (Claire) crosses right in front of the camera, and she looks digitally manipulated and out of place to me. Just seemed odd. Of course, my husband didn’t even notice it, so maybe I’m paying tooo much attention.
Oops, there should be a question mark (heh) after “Claire” above. The shot was from the back, so I couldn’t tell for sure.
OK, for the people having trouble with the www.thehansofoundation.org site, a couple of things.
In most of the various text boxes (like the one you get with the “Can you read this?” message) you have to hit “Enter” after entering your message instead of clicking on the “Next” button.
Also, I have put together a walkthru of the first part of the game. (Note that this site is not completely up to date at the moment but I hope to catch up sometime today.) It has screen captures to help you see what is going on.
Apparently the site sets a cookie – I tried to go re-sign up for the newsletter and put in “breaking strain” instead of “breakingstrain,” as I did the first time, and it won’t let me, even if I use a different name. Any way to bypass that?
Regarding whether or not the other Losties will become suspicious of Michael’s account of what happened in the hatch:
In the previews for the next episode (the finale?) Sayid says something along the lines of “I think Michael has been ‘contaminated’” He may be referring to the sickness or that Michael may have been “turned” by the others. Either way, there’s obviously going to be some concern/mistrust of Michael by some of the Losties.
Did anyone else notice that when Locke and Eko entered the hatch and noticed the observation room, there appeared to be a lone cigarette butt in an ashtray?
Also, the camera that is viewing the viewers in the Pearl is in plain sight, but the camera that is viewing the Swan is obviously hidden. I wonder what purpose viewing the viewers has if they know they are being watched. Unless the people watching ‘everything’ use it as a remote way to watch the tv screens themselves even when no one is in the hatch. ::::shrug::::
One thing that struck me as odd, I had a hard time following the timeline from the time Locke, Jack, et al got to the hatch to discover the carnage to the time Kate and Sawyer ran to get the heroin. The day/night thing tripped me up. Don’t you think that Hurley would’ve become suspicious earlier when Libby didn’t return to their date with the blankets? He had to figure she was getting them from the hatch. Why didn’t he run down there to check when she didn’t show up?
Maybe that’s just the Island Complacency Effect, or I.C.E. for short.
He also called Locke “Gimpy McCrutch”
I noticed it too. So you’re not mental. Or we both are. For a second I thought it was going to be the start of another dream sequence, but no, it was just somebody random walking in front of the camera. It did look digitally manipulated for some reason.
