This image of the plane appears to have the Dharma logo on it. It may be a little clearer on this site. Scroll down to the picture of Walt and the plane.
Do you think it’s real? Or has someone photoshopped it?
My first inclination is that it’s a crank, but I’ve got the Season 1 DVDs at home and will be sure to take a second (okay, twelfth) gander at ‘Tabula Rasa’ tonite.
Finally watched the tape of last week’s episode (I’ve been busy).
What happened to Kelvin’s body? Did Desmond go outside to bury him or is his corpse stuffed inside a back room in the bunker?
Has anyone posted what the I Ching signs mean?
I’m guessing Jin speaks English in someone’s dream. If there was a real revelation that he was a fake, they wouldn’t reveal it in the previews.
And finally my Helen theory:
Helen’s a plant.
Locke’s father was saying how he was getting annoyed by Locke hanging out around his house. And he admits he is a con man.
Then Locke meets this woman who basically throws herself at him. She becomes close to him and then insists he stop going to his father’s house. Locke’s father hired her just like he hired Locke’s mother.
In a later episode, Locke will find this out. It will destroy his faith again. He will do something that will paralyze him. The whole point of the island is to restore Locke’s ability to have faith.
Sorry if this has been brought up already, but in perusing the last few pages of this thread, I notice the one number that doesn’t fit in with many of the “figure out the numbers” theories is 42 - which is also the answer to the unltimate question of Life, the Universe and Everything, according to Deep Thought (HHGTTU).
My friends were discussing Lost today, and one brought up a good point (I hope I didn’t miss this same thought in the 280 or so posts I just read thorugh…):
Desmond didn’t even know about our Castaways until someone came down the hatch. You’d think that Locke’s failed attempt at a trebuchet-driven window-smash would have made enough noise for him to notice, but whatever…
But, if he’s that clueless about their presence, the “Island Security System” can’t really be associated with Desmond or the hatch, because the Losties kept triggering it. He should have known about them, if his computers had anything to do with the “monster”. So, then, we have to assume that he has no way of knowing what’s going on outside that hatch unless he ventures out for a smoke break during his 108 minutes away from the button, which he seemingly never does, considering his “I don’t get out much” statement. Besides, it’s dangerous. If anything happens to him outside in the jungle, the button is unmanned and there will be a Kaboom of some sort.
Now, did his predecessor have the same problem? Completely cut off from the world? I would think so, if he trained Desmond on how to do the job. So… why was he outside and able to bump into Desmond and drag him back to the hatch as a replacement? He must have known there was someone out there. Otherwise why would he have taken the risk and been outside?
The latest TVGuide confirms what Walt was saying. (Scans here warning there ARE some spoilers for the next couple of episodes, I only glanced over them myself and haven’t read those spoilers)
Just re-watched Tabula Rasa (actually Ep.3) and the Dharma logo is definitely there.
Also, Mrs.Flex noticed in the same scene that Charlie is writing “LATE” on the tape wrapped around his fingers. It colloguially means “dead” and is widely used in Britain, more so than in the states (we just use it in the context of "the late Mr. so-and-so).
We also noticed the rain stopped suddenly when Michael told Walt he would look for Vincent when the rain stopped. Don’t remember if we noticed that the first time around.
Found it. It’s almost at the very end of the episode, when Walt is walking away for the plane, you see it just to his right. You only see the top half, and it’s about as big as Walt is.
Has anyone pointed out yet that in the Orientation film you can see the Oceanic flight logo? It’s all connected. But how…?
It sure is starting to look like Walt is the key. As if he’s got the secret to control the island, and that’s why The Others want him He can stop the rain, he knows not toopen the hatch, and not to push the button.
