Another whacko idea here since we seem to be throwing out Hurley-related ideas…
What are the odds that Hurley owns Dharma or, more likely, whatever is left of Dharma or whatever Dharma has become since the 1970’s?
Hurley obviously isn’t too up on the companies he owns since he was totally unaware he owned a box company. Didn’t that place burn down with some fatalities? If so, maybe Hurley’s luck finally whacked DickBoss.
Just a thought, maybe Hurley’s friend is the one who jumped out the window…
Also, do we have any idea why Hurley was in Australia to begin with? I thought there was some television news video of him from an earlier ep on Korean TV (hmm, Jin/Sun connection?). Maybe he was on a tour of the Orient to try and get away from all the attention in the USA from his big lottery win?
The milk was just in Hurley’s dream. In the dream, there was also a pizza box that, when opened, contained a prepared steak dinner on a china plate, complete with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Those don’t keep well, either.
I checked out the timeline…it’s looks pretty accurate to me…assuming that they crashed in 2004, BEFORE the Red Sox beat the Yankees in The World Series, which is totally reasonable!
Someone thought Hurley’s mother died…just wanted to clear that up…Hurley’s mother isn’t dead…in fact he was rushing to get onto flight 815 so he would be home in time for her birthday!
Does anyone else think that Rose has more than just faith in her belief that her husband is alive. She has always said that she knew he was ok since the very first episode and and the end of the S02e04 we see her keeping a chocolate bar for him with a knowing smile on her face that he’s ok.
Thanks, I’m not up an old WEsterns…but that’s why you guys are here, right?!
Aahhhh, that’s it!!! :smack:
I couldn’t really make it out and that’s what I came up with in the end…it’s been bugging me though since I didn’t get the reference I knew I probably had it wrong! That’s for clearing it up for me!
Did he call her Bitch or refer to her as a bitch to someone else?? Either way, I’ve added it!
He called her a bitch after she pulled Jin and Michael out of the hole and left him there. After hitting him, IIRC.
Anal nit-picking: I don’t think it qualifies as a nickname, it was more like name-calling. he was pissed off at her and called her a bad name. The other names he uses for people are, IMO, his warped way of showing affection.
Minor nitpick–I’m pretty sure it was Boone that got called “Metro” for trying to stop Sawyer and Sayid from fighting (certainly fit him better than Jack), and Sawyer called Walt “Short-Round”, which is a reference to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Does Mike/Mikey count? Everyone else always calls him Michael, but Sawyer commonly calls him Mike, and occasionally “Mikey.”
Keep up the good work, by the way. I was fun to read all of those!
Oh, and I suspect so too, Ponster. She and Walt remind me of the boy and the old man in “The Shining.” I think that unlike Locke, who seems to get his special powers from the island, Rose and Walt had it before they got there. I’m trying to remember … have we seen these two interact?
