Lucifer, Season Three

Ideally Netflix or Amazon would pick it up, and that would let them make it TV-MA, if it furthered the story.

I don’t think the fans would be happy with a half-hour version - and that’s the only opening on ABC’s schedule.

So where did those episodes come from? Were they leftovers from this season and originally intended to air in the new season?

In her original appearance in Sandman, Mazikeen wore a mask on one side of her face; underneath it her skin had been flayed away. She spoke with a speech impediment because she was missing half her mouth.

Obviously, that wouldn’t fly on TV, but the reference was nice.

There were several episodes left over from last season, which had fewer airings than planned. The one this season where Maze went to Canada was part of that.

I finally saw the two bonus episodes. The first one was meh – I don’t like the Ella character, and didn’t like the actor who played Rae Rae. I would have liked it more with different actors.

Loved the alternate universe eppy, though. Loved the nod to the comic origin, with Maze’s face, and Neil Gaiman narrating as a surprisingly kindly creator who mostly sets things in motion and lets his creations (including his children) work it out for themselves.

In particular, the narrator seems to be underlining that Lucifer and Chloe genuinely like each other, rather than simply be destined to be together (as per Lucifer’s initial suspicions).

The actor of Azrael was in Twin Peaks, you have to give her that.

In at least two episodes they did show her “real face.” One very early episode, and a late episode where she was taking Trixie trick-or-treating.

There’s a separate thread for this, but I wanted to note it here as well: Netflix has picked up the show.

Booo! I hate netflix.
