I did not- it started raining. I realised I had a melon and a bunch of other fruit which wanted eatin’ up anyway; I’ll get ice cream tomorrow.
I got all motivated and mowed the back yard - mostly on the riding mower, but a little patch with the push mower. I think it might have taken 30 minutes total… maybe. It looks much better.
Supper is grab whatever because FCD isn’t hungry and I’m not really either. Maybe a salad later. Daughter wants to go to my mom’s on Thursday, so I’ll be going with her and Roxy. The rest of the day is max chillage.
He already does that.
Congrats on FCDaughter’s new house!
Congrats on FCDaughter’s prospective new home Moooooooom!
butters, is fresh seafood prohibitively expensive (sometimes what is locally produced is)? That’s a good switch from chicken. There are also some good vegetarian dishes out there. Check Pinterest and AllRecipes.
Finished up a layout in the studio this afternoon. It thundered and rained briefly this afternoon, so no dog park.
Supper was good (veggie lentil soup and some leftover slaw). Now it’s chill time 'til time for bed.
I managed to motivate myself and hauled the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I know. How did I ever manage such a feat! However, 'tis done and I rest on my laurels. OK, not on laurels cause they are kinda scratchy to lounge upon.
Evening all. Finally got out of the house to the Olive Garden, where I conspicuously consumed a meal and got rained on (the only rain cloud in the sky, and in parked over the Garden…).
FCM, yeah on the acceptance. Now comes the fun part…
flyboy, you realize once finally completed we require pictures of said shed…and had to goggle the Yamaha, how’d they get to it?
Cats, it took you this long to determine cats iz weird?
nellie, know what you mean…we’d get home about 10am from Mass, and those three hours from then to Sunday Dinner (and football) seemed to last forever.
Butters, got rid of a lot of my old clothes when I did my house remodeling–great incentive to clean out stuff. And maybe the dress code won’t be too draconian.
**Bumba, herald **, now I have a hankerin’ for a Dairy Queen visit…maybe sometime this week.
OK, that’s all for this week. I’ll everyone on the next MMP. All y’all take care now.
I’m sorry about your bike
Fingers crossed for new home owners!
Make poke chops, sweet N.O.T.s with spinach and tomatoes.
Sorry about the bike, Flyboy
Yay for the house offer, FCM.
I just realized that I was gifted a MMP nickname that runs headlong over yours and you had yours first. How about I do *BBBOO?*Different enough all of you?
BBBoo
Tonight’s ostentatiously healthy dinner: stuffed zuke topped with both shredded and fresh mozzarella. There’s an entire (tiny) onion and some garlic in there, too.
Plus I have leftover filling, so I have a quick and easy dinner whenever more zucchini shows up (very soon I am sure) and healthy.
In deference to my newest addiction, yet another head of garlic was roasted alongside. Because, well, the oven was on, and roasted garlic goes with everything except chocolate ice cream.
My ratties have a couple of litters, so I haz a very happy.
1.) they’re doing better (I was having a rough time of it a month or two back, mental health wise, and sadly, their care suffered) and 2.) I have a cute little teensy chorus of their “Week! Weeeek!” cries, which always make me so happy to hear.
Holy socks, Batman, people are STILL shooting off fireworks?!?
Yeah, I’ll post pics. I get the door cut down tomorrow. Now I’m worried someone will take stuff from the doorless shed. (But I’ll be home tomorrow except for getting the door cut, and Mrs. L.A. will be home.)
The bike was in the canopy garage. Simple enough to wheel it out and coast it down the hill. ![]()
Sucks though to have things stolen.
“Nellie” and “Nettie” are very similar, but we’re doing OK with them, I think, after some initial confusion. “Boo” and “BooFae” are actually a whole syllable different, so I doubt there’ll be any mixups. Besides, nicknames tend to stick, here. You’re already Boo. I like it.
We need baby rattie pictures to coo over, you know.
That’s exactly what Phoenix T. Cat does! She feels that she must ALWAYS accompany me to the bathroom, even if means jumping up from a sound sleep on a different floor, and provide a running commentary. I’m a captive audience so I should be petting her, right? She then sits right there and watches me get some TP, with the eternal kitty hope that I’ll throw it for her. When I proceed to use it for its intended purpose, she looks at me like “WTF is wrong with you??”
And yes, I know this is last week’s MMP, I’m just finally catching up.
You type faster than I do ![]()
I’ll take my Lizard Crumble with whipped cream please and roasted pecans.

Now that you speak of it, my cats are death on TP too. Like to trash the roll, drag the end waayyy out into the dining room. They’ll do it in pairs, like a TP motorcycle gang. It is to the point we had to stop keeping the TP on it’s roller holder and instead now up on the high cabinet. For some reason it doesn’t interest them if it is not on a wheee! roller. Damn inconvenient for us bipeds though. We aren’t allowed to go to the bathroom alone either. They also like watching us shower, dessert being licking the shower curtain water droplets.
Thanks all of you for the smiles and company this morning. Lovely to sit down every morning and have my first cup of coffee☕️with you and my 2nd☕️.
Mondays I try to not expect much of myself-just rest up after my sublime, blissful Sunday of hands on granddaughter wrangling. Spend it with SD and the NYT. One is a whole lot more fun than the other.
