Creating color is one of the reasons I wanted to run games in the first place. However, with apologies, I will have to forgo color for this Dusk. This is unfortunate, because I would like to give JSexton a proper exit, but given the Greek Tragedy that is my house this evening, I am sorely lacking in both time and inspiration. Therefore, I will simply directly reveal that:
JSexton, aka Evil Ash, a Scum Special has been lynched. He, along with hawkeyeop, mhaye, and macey is dead but only mostly so, and may continue to post if he wishes.
Night Seven begins now, and will end at approximately 1:00PM on Tuesday, January 27. Have fun, and sorry again for the lame Dusk.

OOG - in the just-over offboard game, Santo claimed scum in order to try and get the outed SK to work with them against Town, and I dubbed him a “bastard-crusted bastard-filled bastard” for it.
For tricking me with his “go town” tomfoolery, Jsex gets the same title.

That’s…bizarre. So the question is, would storyteller actually do that, to throw us for a loop, or is this a bit of misdirection that, frankly, doesn’t give scum much of an advantage? Huh, JSexton, huh, you scummy evildoer?
OK, I suppose the advantage to it would be that we could look at his arguments differently. Unless that’s what he WANTS us to do. If he’s lying, that is. :smack:

I would think that along with my help in **diggit **potentially finding more Scum and making sure it was open and public to everyone would make me at least a little less suspicious than others.
But, it’s interesting. I’m sure this will help the voting analysis.
I think it’s time we really started considering what it’s going to take to completely kill off those pesky mostly dead Scum.

I have two theories.
a) there is one full scum left. When he/she dies, all of the mostly dead players merge into a new player, who we promptly kill FTW.
b) there are either one or two full scum left. When they are killed, the mostly dead scum evaporate, and we win.
We need to figure out which is true, or if it’s something else entirely.
Oh, and JSexton, could you tell us more about your role? What was your relation to Cookies, if any? Did your role PM describe you as the butt-kicking Ash? Did you communicate with the other scum at all?

As far as the mostly dead go I think it was noted the first time it happened (not going to look it up right now) that they’re too dead to lynch a second time, and we may have lost our only tool of killing them for good (i.e. Cookies). But we should still be able to win if we lynch all of the scum, because by then they wouldn’t be able to vote anyway.

My initial though for running all this was to see if there was a correlation with a Vanilla death leading to a Scum fully dying. But there doesn’t seem to be. If Chucara, Beta took out Bufftabby, then why didn’t **Hawkeye **, Alpha take out macey? and why did **Hal **die completely without killing anyone else?
Any other ideas on this? Or should I drop this and concentrate on something else?
My personal theory, going along with my a) theory from earlier, is that there was one random vanilla town player who would stay 1/5 alive. And it was hawkeyeop.
It’s got nothing to do with storyteller. I decided to try out something I’ve been noodling around with for a while. Before reading my role PM, I asked story to only send me my abilities. No name, description, flavor, or alignment. I’ve been playing the whole time without knowing anything but ability. I figured if I’m town, then I could still use abilities to the fullest, and if I’m scum, well, I can’t give anything away or be caught via voting patterns.
Of course, now that I know I’m scum (and I have finally read my full role PM), I’ve got no reason to reveal what I know to the rest of you, do I? Mwahaha.
