Ok, let’s be clear. I was responding to natlaw in that manner because I was called out on not being agressive enough to her/his original accusation. It was tounge in cheek. FCOD is a boy who goes by a feminine moniker: Its a running joke. Have you at least read the Wiki? And if not then don’t be looking at me. FCS I was responding to a direct observation in a humorous manner that also ties us all back together.
And you know what, Millet you can take it all back. Anyone who has ever played with me knows that I am always pursuing IRLB. The point of this game is discussion. It irks me to no end when folks don’t participate. Communally we talk about lurker lynching but it never happens. We end up with town on town violence and collectively put our fingers in our ears and go La La La.
So you gals/guys tell me. Was fishy’s characterization of the pede train a wrong observation to make? Was my observation about Hawk’s relationships a bad thing? So in the interest of getting things rolling in a totally crazy direction I am going to turn back to Hawk. I think I know the answer to this question (if you decide to answer at all) but…
Hawk are you a deadite or town? It’s ok, be honest. Same question to Chucara over there. I will likely not be chaning my vote because, frankly I still think that my argument agains Chucara is the best reason to vote for someone I have seen…but who knows. Maybe the direct method is what we need.

I found it quite odd that **dotchan **voted for **cookies **for me-too voting but when her error was pointed out and corrected she didn’t then put that vote on me. Her logic for voting was challenged, and she backed down. If her real reason was me-too voting, then logically she should have then cast a vote for me. I did me-too vote. I had a legitimate reason to do so. It doesn’t really deserve a vote, but based on **dotchan’s **reason for her former vote, she should have given me one.
I find that suspicious.

Strawman. I expect scum to try and blend in and act townie. If that means posting an legit attack on their own, then yeah, that’s the right play. Macey made a series of terrible posts. Good town play is to attack them, therefore good scum play is to attack them.
Disagree. You’re confusing motive with effect. Taking a given action will prodice a variety of effects, some of which may be incidental and show nothing of that player’s motivation.
Or look at it another way: That logic means that every time a player casts a vote, that player is protecting every single other player, which renders it somewhat useless as a tell, doesn’t it?
Lurking is scummy, because it is not pro-town. It does not allow the town to use your posts to determine your alignment, and it doesn’t contribute your brainpower. Does town lurk? Sure. But town also vigs town, mislynchs, and lies (irony!). The point is that those actions are anti-town, and hence are more likely to indicate motivation.
Hawkeye, I have problems with a lot of your posts. Some are big on general theory, but not directly related to the game. Those that do relate to the game, I feel, are pushing us in the wrong direction. Difference in playstyle again? Maybe. OK, so here are my reads on the first-listers and their likelihood of being scum, including some analysis of the known factors:
zeriel: Voted, but only as a joke. There were 4 votes on macey, and Z throws down an FOS, but he doesn’t actually vote and never comes back. Board outage excuse is fairly credible, but I wish we had an actual vote on record.
NAF: Casts the first vote for Chucara for “subtle fishing;” stands by that vote at the present. Could easily be scum trying to start a new wagon.
buffy the would-be townie slayer: Casts yesterDay’s only vote for Cookies. This actually gives Cookies a pro-Town boost–if buffy were going to go ahead and vote scum, she could’ve simply made a “me too” vote for her ol’ pal macey. Instead, it looks like she was trying to attract voters to a new, more favorable lynch target. It seems like buffy had a weak reason to vote for Cookies, too–her reasoning was a great way for scum to try to garner trust in anyone else who disagreed with Cookies’ vote.
Pleonast: We know he was a Mason. His vote/unvote for JSexto****n and subsequent vote for Thing Fish don’t mean much to me, as he had no special info on them (other than their Mason/non-Mason status…non-Mason for TF and likely the same for JSexton).
Peeker: I forgot to say that peeker is on this list. (Sorry peeker, I didn’t mean to be aggressive with my previous posts; I’m just frustrated and should have added in some smilies to indicate I’m doing more teasing than bullying. Here are a few: ;)
:D) He voted for Thing Fish, then unvoted, then voted for macey later on. That’s a suspicious pattern if I ever saw one. There were 5 votes on macey and 2 on Thing Fish when he cast his vote. But then at macey 5, TF 4, he changed his vote! So maybe not so suspicious after all. If scum, peeker probably would not have ditched that vote while there was still a contest.
Diggit: Second voter for chucara, and the vote still stands. Weak reasoning, too, IMHO. I would state defiantly that either NAF or Diggit is a scum at this point, if I were the type to pull an “only two candidates” stunt. This really looks like an attempt by one (maybe both? Doubtful, but hey…) of them to get something to stick to chucara…both are laying low and have stood by their votes, so I’ll be watching both for further info.

I can’t answer for anyone else, but **NAF **(?) talked about a subtle fishing attempt on her(?) part.
I looked at her(?) posts from Day One and felt **NAF **was spot on. And that’s why I voted for her(?).
My vote remains on **Chucara **because macey’s blatant fishing was proven to be fishing. And it makes **Chucara **a good candidate.
Look at it this way: Hawkeyeop is making a comprehensive list in an effort to look townie while fingering fellow townies. Unfortunately, one of his scumbuddies is snared on the list. What would you do? Personally, I wouldn’t do the list, but if I did, I would make every effort to downplay that particular player after posting the list. Of course, this isn’t particularly useful until Hawkeyeop comes up as scum, but if he does…
