Mafia Reunion Day 5

It’s a pet theory. Sometimes I have trouble let go of a pet theory. I thought it would give me a center in the obvious chaos that would be the norm in a 50+ player game. I was wrong.

Okay, this is good clarification.

If we manage to get one more Mafia dead, I would like to look back at pressuring a full cultist claim with a train on sachertorte. I actually wouldn’t mind that even toDay, but there are more worthwhile targets out there at the moment.

The case on ProfP is strong. I’ll get a vote on record because I ain’t scared of no ghosts (not a cultist breadcrumb). I also didn’t like his attitude last Night. He participated in the thread even though he claimed to be convinced that he would be nightkilled, but did very little to leave us a Townie-centric last will and testament. Perhaps he was counting on the Bodyguard protecting him?

Vote Prof. Pepperwinkle

I still dislike Khameleon, who didn’t bother to vote last night and only posted when accused.

Paul’s stuff last Night makes me want to go back to him, though it’s hard because he’s posted an awful lot. I seem to recall that I had a tiff with him that I don’t think was fully resolved. I have to go back and look.

Regarding the cultists, I didn’t think the main issue was that “they might actually be scum”. To me, it has been that “they might actually be hostile”. So I see how the former resolves itself with scum deaths, but not the latter, more realistic scenario.

Right. Who ELSE do you all think are Scum?

Which is why it still makes sense to force them out into the open. They might be hostile, but at least we’ll be able to track their votes and keep them honest. Even if they’re technically “non hostile,” they’re still not pro-town. If we wait too long and all four survive, they’ll eventually be able to come out in a block to work against us if it looks like that will give them better odds.

Scum doesn’t really have to worry about the cultists. If either of the scum teams gets in a strong enough position, the cultists will eventually be able to hand that team the victory by revealing, forming a cohesive voting block, and then killing off one another at the mathematical endgame.

Who do you think is scum?

Sidenote - does anybody know of any kind of workaround that will let me view an **entire **thread in one tab? 200 posts/page doesn’t cut it in this game.

It is important to note that we know there are 5 Lutha because Lutha told us that, and we should take that with a grain of salt. I don’t think Lutha is a scum ploy, it seems way too risky, but I still think there is more to them than has been revealed. I think Prof is the obvious target for today, but I’m good potentially lynching a Lutha tomorrow.

Not only that, but our two resident ex-mafia seemed to be careful about voting for the same person at all. In the one case I saw where they had voted for the same person, one of them switched later that day.

Can we try to avoid things that aren’t actually Mafia in the game thread? The screenshot was bad, and time stamps aren’t much better.

Prof, you need to do something other than proclaim how innocent you are. As it stands, even if you’re telling the truth, you aren’t helping Town any.

As for other scum, I am still suspicious of EnderW. I keep vacillating on Paul, since his posts are very helpful, but he’s by far the most prolific poster, is very helpful, and yet is still somehow alive. This causes me concern.

I made a little list of the postcounts for players who didn’t vote on any given day. Here it is:
Day 1:

Crys (12)
DaphneBlack (0)
HalBriston (3)
Khameleon (3)
PrecambrianMollusc (1)
WinstonSmith (0)
Day 2:
EnderW24 (4)
HalBriston (2)
PrecambrianMollusc (0)

Day 3:
Koldanar (11)
Scathach (2)

Day 4:
HalBriston (7)
Khameleon (9)
Nesta (4)
Scathach (2)
I left confirmed townies out because it doesn’t seem relevant for this analysis. Things to point out:

Khameleon and Hal Briston both voted for Idle Thoughts on Day 3. I have already said that I consider a vote on Idle Thoughts to be a null tell, and that applies here. I don’t count it in favor of either of them in terms of whether or not they’re lurking.

Scathath’s Day 1 vote was a throwaway on Texcat, with an apology for not keeping up. Scathath’s Day 2 vote was on Crys with another apology for not keeping up.

Nesta’s votes on Days 1 through 3 were all very safe, and participation has been extremely low. They had a single post in Day 4.

Koldanar only posted 3 times on Day 1. Two posts were about the roles list. The third was a vote.

Enderw24 - I note a minor defense of Thing Fish in D2#126, carefully couched as “while i’m not saying Thing Fish couldn’t be scum.” Big ping, here.

There are so far no confirmed scum in the “not voting” pool, but two players (Khameleon and Hal Briston) who have been actively lurking.

Alright, so, just about everybody here gets a FOS from me. Here they are, from longest to shortest finger.

FOS Khameleon for active lurking, compounded by the case I’ve already made against her.
**
FOS Enderw24
for defending a wolf. Bonus scum points because it was in a conversation with our Seer. If I didn’t already have reasons to think Khameleon is scummy, he would be at the top of this list.
**
FOS Hal Briston
for active lurking.
**
FOS Nesta** for safe voting with low participation.
**
FOS Koldanar** vote not voting on Day 3 despite decent posting.

**FOS Crys **because, well, cultists need to be pressured.

Mine does.

What about the rest of the post? You state the same conclusions I came to in a different post.

I forgot bill in my counting of wolves. 3 left.

If there is one, that would likely make the GB robot workable here - I can use it in 200 post chunks, which is not nearly as useful as it could be.

Could you remind me why?

Oops, I forgot one.

**FOS Scathath **for lurking, probably between Hal Briston and Nesta.

Got it. What I meant by “I agree” was that **Sunny **did play a good game and she is probably better than me as well. It was not meant to be an insult to Prof. P.

Did you post this to the wrong board?

Please read post 130 again.
