True.
Then again. If I were scum trying to make up a false group of “survivors” who can find each other I probably wouldn’t have picked a number that sits around 70% of the actual number of people in my group.
Because if the group has to claim for some reason, I’ve now exposed a large part of my team if they’re all still alive. And if more are dead then what I’ve claimed, I’m exposed as soon as I can’t get enough people to claim with me.
People keep saying stuff like this, but here we are on Day 5 and we’ve yet to force a claim from them.
Saying “scum would be crazy to try this, it would never work!” doesn’t hold much water when we’re sitting at only 60% (going by D5#67) of our total starting number and it’s working perfectly.
Even if the cultists are “as advertised,” they currently make up ~15% of the total player population. Dangerous. It’ll be ~18% if there are five more deaths between now and toMorrow (one lynch, one daykill, three nightkills) and none are cultists. That’s huge. Bigly,* even.

Huh?
I was snarkily asking if snfaulkner and Prof. P were scum mates.
I did. It pretty much asks if I was claiming and then says close to the same thing I said in the post you quoted and post 123. I’m missing the question.

Paul. you said
which is incorrect- at this time.
I see now your caveat “If all the cultists claim” was buried in the second post.
So… are you good now, or is there still I question I am missing? Seems like it’s all cleared up.

?
It made perfect sense to me in the context of the game thread, as a critique of prof p ’s LtL strategy.
So it wasn’t just me that went “Why would that be something posted on another, presumably scummier board?”
Hey look, most of the scum seems to have been from midrange, maybe we should try that instead of LtL?
on that point I will leave be.
If you are Scum and you were testing to see if cultist were on the other team. it will be shown in due time.

I made a little list of the postcounts for players who didn’t vote on any given day. Here it is:
Day 1:
Crys (12)
DaphneBlack (0)
HalBriston (3)
Khameleon (3)
PrecambrianMollusc (1)
WinstonSmith (0)
Day 2:
EnderW24 (4)
HalBriston (2)
PrecambrianMollusc (0)
Day 3:
Koldanar (11)
Scathach (2)
Day 4:
HalBriston (7)
Khameleon (9)
Nesta (4)
Scathach (2)
I left confirmed townies out because it doesn’t seem relevant for this analysis. Things to point out:
Khameleon and Hal Briston both voted for Idle Thoughts on Day 3. I have already said that I consider a vote on Idle Thoughts to be a null tell, and that applies here. I don’t count it in favor of either of them in terms of whether or not they’re lurking.
Scathath’s Day 1 vote was a throwaway on Texcat, with an apology for not keeping up. Scathath’s Day 2 vote was on Crys with another apology for not keeping up.
Nesta’s votes on Days 1 through 3 were all very safe, and participation has been extremely low. They had a single post in Day 4.
Koldanar only posted 3 times on Day 1. Two posts were about the roles list. The third was a vote.
Enderw24 - I note a minor defense of Thing Fish in D2#126, carefully couched as “while i’m not saying Thing Fish couldn’t be scum.” Big ping, here.
There are so far no confirmed scum in the “not voting” pool, but two players (Khameleon and Hal Briston) who have been actively lurking.
Alright, so, just about everybody here gets a FOS from me. Here they are, from longest to shortest finger.
FOS Khameleon for active lurking, compounded by the case I’ve already made against her.
**
FOS Enderw24 for defending a wolf. Bonus scum points because it was in a conversation with our Seer. If I didn’t already have reasons to think Khameleon is scummy, he would be at the top of this list.
**
FOS Hal Briston for active lurking.
**
FOS Nesta** for safe voting with low participation.
**
FOS Koldanar** vote not voting on Day 3 despite decent posting.
**FOS Crys **because, well, cultists need to be pressured.
It bugs me when I put work into an idea and no one comments on it- so I will comment on this.
Your list contains most of the players that I needed to be reminded were in this game. Under the radar players need to be called to task at this point, I agree.
I made a list of remaining known roles and it is quite possible these players are here enough to use their Scum powers and fade out.

I read it as scum (snk ) suggesting to other scum (**Prof **P ) that they go after the lynch of mid-level posters so as to distract from the Prof P lynch given that LtL wasn’t getting enough traction. I’m a little paranoid today.
Sure, I’ll post it over on a scum board. Just send me the URL!
Anyway, nice smudge.

I agree with this list and its order.
I do too. I think we need to crack down on the ones who are fading into the background, but not enough to be modkilled.
I have also been thinking about the whole Prof P situation, and whether or not Pleonast was emphatically signalling his results. While i know color isn’t some secret puzzle of clues, the whole “unlucky seer” thing makes me wonder if he was blocked at all. We know that the Seer was subject to being blocked.

NETA - We have two claimed cultists, and one of them is on that list. other than that there are 5 other fingers on your Hand of Suspicion there. Some may cultists, but I doubt the whole cult is lurking in there.

Just one question. Why didn’t Scathach make it on your list? Based on the reasoning for the others it seems Scathach should fall around Hal Briston or Nesta.

And yet all 3 of you are voting for ProfP? But you agree with JohnnyB’s lurker list? Hmmm… what’s wrong with this picture?
What’s wrong with FOS’ing people you are wary of after you’ve already voted for the most likely?
I havent voted for anyone.
