Yes, and shutting up during the Day removes information from the team which puts its orders in during the Day. But that’s not really a viable strategy here either.
- no one agreed with you because Town can be DKilled by Mafia OR NKlled by Wolves. (or AUBatman) SO why draw the line? in this game at all?
you still post like you don’t see the reasoning
Ah, here we go:
This pinged me somewhat when he posted originally, but I wanted to see what else he posted to give it some context. Sadly, the answer is “not much else at all”.
Hal is on the mod chopping block, so no need to be on ours right now, but I want to register suspicions officially here.
vote Hal Briston
I expect to move this by tomorrow to someone who’s not gearing up for modkill. Inner Stickler seems to be the crowd favorite at the moment, but I don’t really understand why. I feel like I’ve found myself agreeing with him at multiple points throughout this game, and haven’t gotten a scum vibe.
Obviously not, but that’s never a valid strategy.
In a normal game, you shut up at night because you don’t want to give information to the scum team while they’re deciding what night actions to take.
In this game, shutting up at night would still mean we aren’t giving information to the wolves while they make their decision. It doesn’t matter that the mafia gets information while we talk during the day - this isn’t some sort of equal opportunity system where town is obligated to ensure that both scum teams get the same set of advantages.
Honestly, though, why exactly are we hashing this out again? I accepted a long time ago that nobody agreed with me.
Which points in particular? He’s not bothering to defend himself, so maybe you can do it for him.
I’d have to go back through to see specifically. I like to keep notes but that has escaped me in this game. Regardless, “not currently voting for” =/= “prepared to mount a defense for”.
Lightfoot explained it best, above. The only reason I can think of that you’d be concerned about a Nightkill but not a Daykill, is being on the NK team yourself.
Your refusal to see the validity of the argument makes you appear to be a Mafia member after it has been hashed this many times.
and what the hell iis with the underlined by me- statement?
NETA and even in a 'standard ’ game. It is a good idea to get your thoughts on record in the event you * are[/] the NK. I didn’t used to think that way but I evolved
I don’t want to be day killed, obviously, but talking during the day is necessary to inform a good Lynch and otherwise play the game. Talking at night isn’t. This is my opinion, sorry. I see your point of view and I disagree. I’m not going to capitulate on it just to avoid suspicion.
I understand your point now more than I did before. However I still think we shouldn’t hold back when we have something to say, in this game at least.
ok,we can agree to not agree on this point— so have you voiced your opinion on the player that wasn’t worried about being NK’d?
All you said at the time when you first voted against him was that you were previously happy with the case against P.P.. (D4, #353)
OK, maybe you really forgot your D4 train of thought later. Maybe you are overwhelmed Townie who voted for **Professor Pepperwinkle ** that Friday morning because you felt like you “absolutely needed” to get a vote in with over two full real days still to go before EOD.
But was this because you didn’t think you would be back to the game before EOD? If so, why not say some of this at the time? You stated in the post just prior to your vote post (D4, #352) that you had unexpected travel work issues earlier in the week but that you were trying to do a voting analysis. There is nothing in that post to indicate you were under pressure to vote then and there or that you did not expect to be back again before EOD. I don’t understand.
Ok, I’m getting really confused about all this. Wasn’t one of the reason you are suspicious of me is because I agree with you here?
Hmm, maybe. Can you point me at the part where you said you didn’t want to talk at night because you didn’t want to give scum information?
I set an unfair challenge, I think you’re lurking in plain sight, with such a high volume of posts, I’m struggling to pinpoint what it is about you that’s pinging me so much, and I keep having these “oh, I forgot Lightfoot’s in this game” moments. It feels like you’ve got a bunch of flaky posts, weak bandwagon votes, some pot stirring, no strong stances but I manage to find counter-examples when I go digging. You’re very polite and responsive to direct questioning, so either my scumdar is off - which may be the case in this game, or you’re doing a great job at hiding your scumminess and it’s bothering me.
You listed the roles, twice now, without any comment, just fact. No concern about the balance of power, no mention of strategy, claims, nothing - it looks like you’re being helpful for the sake of being helpful - maybe you did your own analysis and didn’t want to share it.
Here, three questions for you: who are your top three suspects and why? How/when do you suggest we deal with Lutha? What advice would you give to the remaining town powers?
It was something quite different, she explained her lack of response to your vote:
I pointed out how this looked like she was certain she would live through the Night and suggested she was alpha or godfather.

NONE OF YOU HAVE POSTED!!!
There are only 157 posts in this game Day.
Post something or there will be an epic bloodbath pretty soon. This is not the first warning most of you have gotten.
It’s getting to the point where I’m feeling like players shouldnt be allowed to skate by with a single post. This fame cannot remain playable at the current level of participation.

I agree. A bloodbath would be disappointing but better than 25% of the players being allowed to continue basically non-participating. Otherwise, at some point, those players will be the only ones left…and then what?
You have Lightfoot listed twice and she’s posted a bunch.
