Well, that and you spelled my name wrong - Unless there is a beewha also playing!
Not sure if it matters - just wanted to point it out in case it did.

I stand by all name spellings. I contend that it is YOU who is spelling your own name wrong.
Quickie post before I get into the meat of the matter:
For now (until there’s a counterclaim, and I don’t think now is the right time for one if that’s an issue), I choose to believe the EMT claim.
My initial thought, before it got to that point, was that I was going to do a WoW on septimus, as I wasn’t quite sure what to think of that particular bandwagon yet. Now that he’s claimed, I think I’ll instead do an analysis of the votes on him. I have an hour and a half to work on this, and then I have a meeting. I’ll get going on that.
Can’t remember who asked, but I know that I’ve had this vote on Meeko for a while. I still find him suspicious, but I have that on record, so we can come back and look at it later. For now, I’m going to see what I can find from the septimus voters. I’m also fairly suspicious of the two people who were suspicious of colby but didn’t vote, so I might do a couple of WoWs on them if I have time.
I don’t see your logic. If a player says" the patsy should claim D1"and sticks to it all Day.But later in the game ( under pressure probably) claim patsy= Lynch Them.
He has, it does. both Pleo and Idle don’t care.
Who is the smart ass wolf?
I find myself a bit confused - how could Idle end up as (maybe) cleared?
Yes, that was what I was trying to convey. Questioning is not, I think, in and of itself scummy - but TL’s reaction to being questioned on it pinged for me.
I mean the game we just played on Giraffe. I’m Renata there.
I voted post 776 I see the word ‘vote’ is missing- I will fix that in the future
Idle isn’t cleared. I was in error. He merely claimed.
I did see that, but yeah, please re-vote. In fact, if you like, unvote and revote so we can see it.
I’m not sure what the point of this post is. The real EMT wouldn’t have any thought process like mine, since they would know septimus was lying. It doesn’t matter to them whether he’s Wolf or Mafia. A Mafia player very likely could have had this thought process, but why would I bring it up if I’m Mafia? “Hey guys, I have this idea for a great fake claim. Now that you’ve used it, I’m going to explain to Town exactly why it’s a great claim!” I’m not sure what the logic there is for Wolf though. A Wolf wouldn’t know that septimus was lying anymore than a non-EMT Town would. (All of this is working from the assumption that septimus is fake claiming Mafia of course)
What you seem to be ignoring however is that Town should be skeptical of role claims. Skepticism doesn’t mean disbelieve, nor does it mean we shouldn’t unvote him. It just means to be aware that there exists the possibility that he’s lying. To do otherwise is to beg to be led around by the nose by scum.
Ah. I misremembered who you were here. Sorry 'bout that.
Over on the Giraffe Board I have dropped LtL as a play form because:
You add the qualifier “under pressure”. I said my reaction would depend upon the circustances. You can’t foresee a circumstance where the Patsy claims unprovoked later in the game, while having advocated for a Day 1 claim, where such a claim could be believable? I can, but again it depends on the circumstances, not only later in the game, also earlier in the game.
We have three (3!) investigative roles, Seer, Homicide detective, and Journalist. One of those will find scum sooner, probably rather than later. As soon as they do, we’ll have a Patsy claim by the scum, and Patsy will have to CC.
It would be much better for Patsy to claim now. This means that
[ul]
[li]Investigators don’t waste their investigations on them[/li][li]Scum won’t be able to later claim Patsy[/li][li]When investigators do find scum, they’ll know they are scum and not the Patsy[/li][/ul]
(CC = counterclaim)
We were pretty clear on what a valid vote was and was not. Sorry. The rules are there not for capriciousness but because it’s hard enough to count votes (note the fact that I get it wrong pretty much every time) when everything is formatted correctly.
But we ain’t mad attcha.
I would push back on this, except…your playstyle strikes me as one that doesn’t necessarily employ the same filter as others might.
I brought up a similar point to this in the most recent GB game (my first in 5 years) regarding “tactics”. I stated that I was “confused by someone’s tactics” and they stated that they “don’t have tactics, they’re Town”. But I think it’s at Town’s peril not to review our posts for how they may come across, and that power roles (all players really, but especially power roles) don’t have some sort of tactic to their play. Regardless of what team Colby is on, I’m betting he wishes he had reviewed his questionable post more thoroughly prior to making it. If he’s Town, I certainly wish he had phrased things differently.
the real EMT would have worked out that Mafia find 'im a threat and Wolves not so much.
How am I ignoring a point that I also voiced?
A member of the coalition saw my for space several counts back paid the negotiated price and got a promoted slogan.
The offer is still good, ask me how! Moderating MAFIA games isn’t as lucrative as you might expect. We do accept answers to trivia questions as a valid form of payment.
Well, as long as we’re nitpicking vote/count mismatches …
Colby has “10 votes” but only 9 are shown
Pleonast has “1 vote” but 2 are shown.
Do the Mods maintain a complete journal of votes and unvotes similar to the one Prof. Pepperwinkle posted?
The shown votes are accurate. The numbers might not be. I’ll fix that in a few minutes with a full update.
