Near endgame, a kill that’s supposed to take out a Scum but instead fails can hurt us. But a kill that’s supposed to take out a Scum but instead takes out a different Scum is just fine, because it still takes out a Scum. It’s not like killing Godfather and then Bodyguard is really any different than killing Bodyguard and then Godfather.

Don’t we have more no-shows than that? How are you going to choose which ones to sub and which ones to mod-kill?
I recommend that you sub the Town players and mod-kill the Scum no-shows. Really, it’s the only fair way.
So far only 2 are eligible for mod kill at the moment and that won’t be until the end of this Night. Several more will be eligible come the end of the next Day. So, yeah.
Daphne and Winston are pretty much gone and will be subbed unless I get a surprise PM overnight. I still hold out hope for the others.
Hello all. I am following along. I will admit the whole hitman/outrider thing is still confusing as hell to me, but I’ll catch up. (Really, no death unless the target is being guarded - so why guard? I am soooooooo confused. Is that the same person could be targeted twice?)

There’s a really awful part of my soul that wants to vote for Lakai right now. I mean, you can’t be Town twice, right? What are the odds?
Back-from-the-dead replacements are always awkward. My first game, I think paulwhoisaghost ended up being three different people, and it was a royal pain to keep track of which one he was at any given moment. But I guess that means he’s experienced at being a replacement, at least.
And Sunny, I won’t say I trust you, but you’ve been doing a pretty good job of playing, for your first game and for being a monster of a game like this one.
Oh, I knew there was something I was forgetting to mention before! If the Watcher was watching septimus, and saw his killer, that probably is something that’s worth claiming for, since it would mean (at worst) a trade of a Townie for a Wolf, which is a good trade, and (with not being able to see the factional kills), that may well be the only concrete evidence against a Scum you’ll have a chance to find. If you do decide to claim, I would recommend that the best time to do it would be relatively late in the upcoming Day, something like Friday morning: Getting incriminating evidence against a Scum tends to kill discussion for a Day.
Assuming, of course, that the Watcher wasn’t one of our no-shows, and so missed out on a golden opportunity.
In my records, I use the number on the sign-up list as the primary identifier, with names added just to maintain human readability. Since Lakai is inheriting Daphne’s role, he’ll also be inheriting her number. Which does mean that I need to reference the list every time I update, but no system’s perfect.
