I mean…maybe? The whole deal was, Mrs. Frog told Mando (through the Mechanic) that there were Mandalorians on Water Planet, and Mr. Frog could take him to them. He gets there, and…Mr. Frog just points Mando to the local cantina. So was Mrs. Frog straight up lying about Mr. Frog being able to take Mando to the other Mandalorians? Did she think her husband knew more than he actually did? Or did the Mechanic misunderstand or mis-translate, or was she lying?
Did Mr. Frog actually think the Mandalorians hung out at the cantina? Did he have some reason to think the cantina owner would be able to put Mando in contact with the other Mandalorians? Or was it just a wild stab?
It’s not exactly a plot hole, but the whole thing was just really murky.
She was wearing a wig. Aside from that, I don’t think anything was going on. Maybe the Stagecraft Volume VFX they are using for placing actors in the digital environments in real-time was a bit “artificial” when the skies just gave off even ambient light?
Once again the pee cee ess jay doubleyous force diversity down our throats. Why do they have to put a pink frog-person and a blue frog-person together?
It’s either a plot hole or Frog Hubby is a bit of a jerk - after everything Mando went through to deliver Frog Lady and her eggs all he gets is to be told to ask around at the local pub?
I don’t think he’s meant to be written as a jerk.
Titus Welliver was also in Deadwood, the third actor from that show we’ve seen so far. Last season every side character was played by a stand-up comedian, this season it seems to be Deadwood actors. Expect Robin Weigert and Paula Malcomson soon, I guess.
Yes, he saw Star Wars in 1977 and it is what pushed him to go all in on being in movies. When he heard Lucas was making more of them, he told him he would be in them no matter what. I believe he told him he would be in them even if he had to play a slave. He just wanted to be in them.
Do frog-people show up in other Star Wars properties, giving some basis to assume pink frog-people and blue frog-people are different ethnicities? Maybe frog-people are a sexually dimorphic species, so the males and females have different appearances, like female cardinals are brown while male cardinals are red.
Execellent episode. Cinema-quality action. Major plot points. Another fan theory confirmed. Baby Yoda, shop assistant. And the first complaint about the lack of guard rails!
I was waiting for one of them to comment on the lack of guard rails on the outdoor platform. I laughed when he complained about the lack of safety over the 200 ft drop to the lava below.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, especially since it moved the plot ahead considerably. I am guessing that the black suited troops at the end are the results of their first experiments.
Special The Force Forces? I doubt that. I assume that those experiments are the early attempts at growing Palpatine/Snoke clones. The “volunteer” part confuses me, though.
