May Flowers in the MMP

Doing a voluntary double just for the giggle factor. Our bosses being a certain type of mother not celebrated today I expect much holiday consternation over what workers show and which ones don’t. They have reduced this all to “screw the customer and make the numbers work” forgetting we can do the same thing. Who yelled at me last? Who screwed me on job assignments last? Are the kids taking us out to dinner? Do I really need $30 for giving up an entire chunk of my day? We do the math and then decide if we really want to work or not. I am NOT kidding; it can be a lot of laughs watching their reactions and seeing them trying to deal with it all.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Watching the Spanish GP now, going out the Pub to watch hockey later.

Avocado mayo instead of Duke’s?:dubious::confused::eek::smack:
Bless your heart.

Too fired? You were running a race in Colorado?

G’mornin’!

Up, breakfasted, caffeinating and chilling. It’s raining, so’s I won’t head to RenFest today. :frowning: However, I will chill and work on my project some more.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Mother’s (and Mutha) Day, as it applies to you.

It is a miserable, rainy, 52 degrees outside.
Ripple is already bugging me to go to the park, and I hate to disappoint him, but I doubt we will go today.
It’s suppose to stop raining later, so we will rethink the decision then.
I think you are right about the mayo, FCM. The eggs aren’t bad, but they don’t taste the same as usual. We’ll eat them, but next batch won’t be made with avocado oil mayo. Once this jar is gone, I won’t buy it again.
And Red, the eggs were more than slightly old. Probably two months old. They weren’t bad as in rotten, but they were very easy to peel.

Doggio, up here we use Hellman’s. I have never seen Duke’s in the store, but I have heard of it.

I did worry that the scholarship letter might be some kind of scam, MetalMouse. Especially when we had trouble logging in. FCM is probably right and it is some kind of mistake The state of MD makes lots of them. One thing I saw is that they need to college to verify how many courses he took but the semester isn’t over yet. I tried to check the college site for info, but it is down all day today for maintenance.
I don’t know, just one more annoyance I have to deal with.

My son should have all A’s this semester, unless he really screws up one of his finals.
I will be happy when the semester is over and I can hand him the BIG TO DO List.
I want one thing done each day. He won’t be happy about it but I’m not happy about it either.

Ripple’s new harness should be here today, and the new dehumidifier should be here tomorrow.
I need to order groceries some time today to pickup tomorrow.

But first, a long HOT shower, and put on some warmer clothes.
It’s cold in the house, but I refuse to turn on the heat.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mother’s. Today is also HRH Lucky Louie’s 13th Birthday. I have been lazy thus far today and just woke for the second time. I have laundry to do and the kitchen needs cleaning. That will probably be the extent of any activity for me today. Two more work days and I am off for a week. Ok y’all have a great Sunday. Gotta get going on this pile of laundry.

10:30, and we’ve finished breakfast. Ham, cheese, tomato, and onion omelette; coffee and V8 juice for me, milk for Mrs. L.A. Working on the second pot of coffee. (Mrs. L.A. already had her two half cups.)

The dishwasher is started, and I’ll mow the lawns in a couple of hours.

My quality time with Roxy ended and I went to help **FCD **in the shop. We weren’t there too long - after making some changes to the wiring plan, we discovered we didn’t have enough of the right types of electrical boxes, plus we’re short 7 outlets. He’ll go to Lowe’s in the morning on his way back from delivering the heat sink, and when he gets home, we’ll finish the wiring. I hope.

Meanwhile, I’m going to make little hats for punkin wigs. **Butters **- I’ve got 37 assorted wigs completed - -when will you need delivery?

Guess I’ll get back to my crochet hooks… after I get our unders out of the dryer.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had Mcbrunch, napped and in general have lolled about on this rainy (mostly gone now) day. All in all a nice Sunday. Also, I have hauled the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mom’s of humans and assorted critters.

Happy Birthday HRH Lucky Louie! ::skritches::

happy nag-a-sarus day!
not a lot going on today … my aunt had a mixed reaction to the candy I got her … she loves it but since sees is usually expensive she was " you spent too much " but I didn’t tell her they had a sale since I waited until Wednesday …the shipping was half the price …

Our drizzles didn’t do much but make today muggy …our neighbors are Hispanic mostly and since Sunday is family dinner day and its mothers days… the neighborhood has twice the crowds … although instead of a bouncy castle … they have a bouncy water slide/ pool combo (from the same outfit that does the castle) thing the kids are playing in … so the happy sounds of giggling kids trying to drown each other fills the air

doggio, if I can get Duke’s,I use it, but if not, Hellmann’s is the choice. That’s what I used in the midwest and in middle Tennessee, Duke’s is available at some stores and not others.

Happy birthday Louie!

I got the pictures sorted and about half my paper palette chosen. I’ve come to the conclusion that I should have gone with a ring binder rather than a post style binder. There is enough material for two of my uncles to fill up the album that I chose by themselves. I do have a ring album that will work and the one that I bought will work for another project, so no problem.

I did step out to the local Bargain Hunt for a foray today. I picked up a pair of canvas deck shoes to use as yard shoes for a buck, a pair of leather fashion sneakers for five, a blouse and some beef jerky and got out of there for less than $20.

Laundry and much sleep was had. I cooked a turkey breast yesterday so no cooking today. I just hope I can sleep tonight as I need to irk tomorrow and Tuesday to finish up a few things. On Tuesday I have an appointment to get my car serviced. It’s only about 7 K miles over when it was due. There is not enough time in the day. Hubby claims it’s making a funny noise in the front end and I shall ask them to take it for a drive. I don’t hear what he hears or maybe I am just used to it.

Louie has been muchly spoiled today with treats galore. He likes to sleep as much as me.

Happy New Week All. **Mooommm ** I am sending you a PM re punkin wigs.

A happy birthday to LL, Butters. Extra scritches from me.

Hope all the mothers on the MMP had a good day today.

Sari, hope you get things straightened out for Sah-son’s education…then straighten him out if he gives you grief on The List.

ruble, you’re having way to much fun poking the bear (your executives). One of these days they’ll catch you at it.

Shady, I think one day with the sound of multitudes of kids won’t kill ya–sounds like a happy time.

spidey, if you raced in Paris, you’d be french fried…

Ate out at Cracker Barrel, service was slow as their pancake syrup, but I had a book to read so no biggie. Tried to nap but wasn’t really tired feeling, so should sleep good tonight. Since we haven’t played a Saturday soccer game in 2 weeks (dratted rain), I did arrange a couple of games during the week and am trying to get others set up.

All y’all take care and I’ll see you on the next MMP.

I wasn’t there personally it was across the street but it sounded like fun was had …

What’s gonna be interesting is when the tweakhead neighbor that hates almost everyone and thing that doesn’t have anything to do with him acquiring more drugs sees it during the soon to be summer … I foresee someone getting stabbed and its not the neighbors across the street,
