Yep
Now, with all that cheap pork in your freezer, I think you could buy, and cook for yourself some turkey, if it’s you absolute favorite meat! Let b/f eat pork till he oinks, why should you? Unless you’re talking about a 20 lb. bird, there is every form of turkey available to buy, from a full breast to a thigh to a wing. Heck, if I didn’t cook my own favorite foods for myself, I would be doomed to my husband’s diet of burgers and fries every f’ing night of the week.
Gotta’ love the Gulf Coast, as most of the meat we eat is seafood. A lot of shrimp, but a lot of drum, snapper, redfish, pompanito, and salmon (Scottish—she likes it.) too.
Chicken’s probably the next one. Venison is oh, so good, but I don’t have a good source for the wild stuff. Need to get off my ass and make nice with my deer-lease holding relatives…
Beef. When we’re not eating beef, which is most days, it’s beans. We try to throw a chicken meal into the mix once in a while, but neither the wife nor I are big fans of the bird. Bacon, however, is popular, albeit a rare treat in our high-risk-of-heart-disease-and-high-cholesterol household.
