Of course! Arachnids stick together!
They wouldn’t, if they used the coasters…
Okay, picture Sri Lankan spiders and motorized coasters instead of a cat and roomba.
Oh, and Spidey instead of a duck.
Some things, once seen, can never be unseen…
And not a good thing to see this early. Blurf.
It’s a very clean floor.
What I want to know is, how did whoever get a shark suit on a cat? Also, I’m curious as to how one would get a shark suit on a Sri Lankan spider. I suppose gettin’ a shark suit on Spidey would not be too difficult. However, he’d probably be reluctant to put on a duck suit.
In other news, I think I’ve been stood up. I had someone comin’ in for a ten o’clock appointment and it’s now 10:23 in the a.m.
Had a fun dream last night. In it, I went to an EMT related training class, which happened to be taught by all the surviving actors from the ancient show Emergency! I learned a lot in the class, and walked away with a metric buttload of autographs, too.
That show is as responsible as my gastric bypass surgeon for my stint as a fireman/EMT.
LOL Oh Swampy, that’s Max/Arthur the Roomba kitty! He’s a very compliant kitty, as you can tell. And the pit bull, Sharky, he’s got a shark suit too. A very loving doggy, btw, he licks all the other animal!! Their care taker is a very animal/pet-friendly person. And very patient.
In other news, it’s almost FIRDAY!
And congrats, Rosie!!!
Morning, All -
OK, who gave that roomba access to the alcohol-based lubricant? 'Cuz it’s acting like Rosie from that Jetsons episode where she went all “robot crazy”…
(and I like that the cats tail is doing double duty and re-sweeping the floor behind the roomba - nice…)
Last day off before my forced return to irk, alas. Six days off, had I. Return, I must.
Almost an hour in the dark. Or more accurately, an hour without electricity as it’s a bright, clear, sunny day, which makes the outage even more curious. We’ve got underground lines here and there’s not a hint of bad weather. I’m guessing the freeway builders decided to stray from their designated digging area, or the JULIE people flubbed and mis-marked a power line.
About half an hour in, the alarm company calls to say we have no electricity. :smack:  Thanks for the newsflash, ADT!
The real loser though, was our dog. There’s something about the blerrp-blerrp-blerrp-blerrp of the UPS units that freak her out. Full-on trembling, panting, trying to climb on top of your head, PANIC! She has no problems with the various beeps and bleeps from the phones, microwave, range, TV, computers, tablets, etc., but the UPS puts her off the deep end.
Aw. Poor puppy.
Gratz to Rosie. (I’ll figure out how to colorize a font someday.)
At work and returning emails. Almost awake.
It’s been a fun mornin’. I did get stood up. sniff Poor me! Then I went down to one of the local senior centers to present an award. I nominated this center for the statewide “Host Agency of The Year” award and they won! YAY! So, as the local rep and nominator, I was the one to present the award. ‘Twas fun. I always like goin’ there. Then I had me some chikin sallit for N.O.L. so all is well.
Also, there’s drama goin’ on over to the chruch house! Seems our sexton (Whiskypalian for janitor) is wanted by the police and has vanished into thin air. The police came lookin’ for him this mornin’. Thus, all the locks are bein’ changed and all of us with keys shall be issued new ones. Plus, lines have been run for a sprinkler system to the raised garden beds. Somehow this has resulted in mud gettin’ in the water lines to the church. The lines have been flushed and the water is fine but, while this was happenin’, we got muddy ice in the ice maker. ICK! Thus, three of us are meetin’ up this evenin’ to clean out the ice maker (it’s a Hoshizaki ice maker that I have named Hoshi). All the little trees, shrubs and assorted fauna shall get the benefit of bein’ ice watered.
Y’all just wish y’all had my life!
Awww gotti poor doggy baby! At least she has her daddys to protect her from the evil UPS units.
do you use the quick reply box? See the capital A with the thick black line and the tiny down arrow? Click that, choose a color, then type a word or words where the cursor is. Ta-da! Colorized. Also you can highlight a letter, word, or phrase, then pick a color.
We had a very productive morning. After breakfast, we ran by Lowes, and we got prices, a new sprinkler, a replacement hydrangea, and some plant food. When we came home, I planted the hydrangea and marked the other 9 because they’re still really small - then **FCD **mowed the lawns. I raked up the roots and branches in the ditch, then mowed the ditch with the push mower. Then **FCD **hooked up the cart to the mower and we loaded it with the branches and roots. He dumped them in the back of the woods, and I fed and watered the gardens in the back yard. He’s gone to the hardware store and I’m taking a break before setting up the new sprinkler in the front yard.
WHEW!
Plans for later today include laundry and packing. Dinner will be leftovers - I’ve got steak and chicken, and I think I’ll make a cucumber salad. I’ve also got to finish FCD’s helmet liner so he can wear it tomorrow - it’ll be a chilly ride to the ocean.
And my roses are looking beeyooteeful!!
AHA!
It works from the regular reply box, too.
Thanks.
The funny thing is that I’d just added another UPS to the house a week ago to power the phone switch. Brilliant timing, there!
At least ADT hasn’t called to say “You appear to have power again.”
If there are there Buffet tickets involved, not that hard. “Fins to the left…”
Aaaaa…CHOOO!
sniff
Why do I keep sneezing? I don’t think I have a cold, there is no dust, and I’m not showing any other allergy signs. Odd, and mildly annoying.
I’m also confused, 'cos the jobcentre did not call me today (that’s no surprise) but the money I should have got yesterday now appears to be in my account- well, the amount’s slightly different from normal, and the ‘who it’s from’ line is not the normal one, and it is claiming to have been there yesterday, which it definitely wasn’t. It’s very odd, but not really annoying now I’ve stopped panicking quite as much. I shall still be poor, but this means I probably get to keep both kidneys and pay all the bills, which is nice.
Anyway, out to pottery class shortly!
Cool!
