Twas very much a Moanday. I was >< close to bugging out of irk at lunch for lack of something to do when the IT guy showed up to try to fix my issue with access to the HR suite. He reinstalled my profile, deleted my photos (albeit temporarily), messed up my settings and in general, scrambled my desktop without fixing the problem. I cursed the !@#$ing Windows 10 because I couldn’t find where they hid the place to change the font size (too blind to find it). I did eventually get everything back to usual. Then I got a new process to write and one to edit.
I got home to find a decent table for the studio out at the dumpster. It is light weight, kinda beat up (not like I won’t beat it up a bit more) but the right size and sturdy enough for the job. It is now installed and the sewing machine/table is back in the bedroom to be used for its intended purpose.
Red, I still have Windows 7 at home and I’m holding onto this computer until it finally dies just to avoid having to work with 10. Maybe I can make it until there is a new Windows product that will actually have people liking it (hey, miracles happen).
Cupcakes, glad to hear Mauser’s home and doing well. Hope the drops work.
Called my credit card companies to tell them I was going overseas, so if I have to use them there won’t be any problems (Ha!). Also talked to little brother, who was pretty talkative tonight (sometimes I get only grunts from him) so that was cool. Just had braunsweiger sammiches for dinner, since I am attempting to clean out my refrigerator without having to throw much food away, so meals will be rather hap-hazard the next couple of days.
metal mouse, I run Windows 7 on my desktop at home and Windows 8 on my tablet (it actually works well with a touch screen). However, 10 is of the devil. It was forced upon me at irk.
22:30 call from Mothers rest home relayed she was not doing well and suggested the ‘H’ word. Didn’t surprise me, her quality of life has been at whale poo level since the beginning of the year. At least it wasn’t another “She fell out of bed” call, not that those are so bad, since they lower her bed to the floor to keep her FROM having far to bounce.
I suppose this means that I should step up the rate of dealing with the lawyer about her house and the 401k’s that still listing my decade expired father as beneficiary. Thank the gods I got the PofA last year. Now to set the probate avoidance course…
I guess I am the only one who doesn’t mind Windows 10.
It’s irritating at times trying to find stuff, but it’s stuff I don’t look for often anyway.
Then again, if it is something I use all the time I would remember how to find it.
Or at least I hope I would.

{{{Alien}}} - my mom is 84, and still doing OK, but my bro is her executor and I’m pretty sure he has PoA for her also. I’m truly grateful I won’t have to deal with all that when it comes to it. On the other hand, my husband has PoA for his folks, who live 800 miles away and are declining rapidly. I know he dreads the day he gets that call…
Another hot day today, but maybe some rain tonight for relief… maybe. Meanwhile, more crap has appeared on my desk. I’m starting to lose track of what’s due when. I assume someone will yell if something gets lost in the cracks. Till then, I’ll work my way to the bottom of the pile.

Definitely a Summer’s day in south Jawja. The highlight of the day shall be laundry. We shall sup upon enchiladas, refried beans, and Mexican rice. OLÉ!

More work both paid and unpaid (Mom life). Might go used car shopping Friday night. Romeo is looking to replace his POS 99 Subaru Forrester with a newer Subaru. And of course, he gets a nail in the tire last night. I don’t want to pay for a new tire if we’re just going to trade it in a week later! He’s going to see if they can patch it.
blurfage. My Moanday. I came in to a pallet of heavy National Park Guides. I am over half way finished putting them away. I had to take a break. I am not used to physical labor.
I have to deliver paperirk to the Mother base and I need to get to the PO since I was a Sloth yesterday and didn’t get there.

It was supposed to be hot today but it is not so bad outside.
We were out doing some yard irk and it is cloudy and breezy.
Supposed to drop down to the 60s tonight.
Hot today again. It’s been eerily like the Midwest; hot during the day and thunderstorms at night. I think TWPTB got the paperwork mixed up.
I’m hoping to get my room a bit more organized over the next few days. My MiL is staying in the room with my desk and files. I need to work out a place in my bedroom to have a space for some of that. I’m feeling a bit too willy-nilly at the moment.
Blurf I got all those heavy boxes put up with the help of a gym patron. I made it to the post office and have put out a few fires. Today is officially the busiest day of the year so far. It has been non stop customers all day.
