Talk to the manager. And if they don’t, or at the very least offer a free mani-pedi or facial, you could always report them to the BBB. After all, you hired them to do a job, gave them instructions, and the result was contrary to your plan. Would you let a sloppy carpenter off the hook?

That’s thing, gt; I’m not losing any money. However, if I receive any kind of performance award, it needs to be tied to my appraisal. It would be rather presumptious of me to just assume I’m getting an award; but I can certainly hope.
My rater swears up down and we will be working on this tomorrow and that I’m not going home until it’s complete. We’ll see; but I’m not counting on anything.

I finally have a hair appointment. It’s getting colored and cut on Friday morning. I kept putting it off because I didn’t want to spend the money. When I did feel I had the extra money, I didn’t have the time.
rosie, in September, I’ll have 27 years of federal service under my belt. Unfortunately, I can’t retire for another 10 years at the minimum, because I wouldn’t be old enough at 30 years of service. Under the Federal Employee Retirement system, you have to have a combination of age and years of service to retire. So, due to my date of birth, I can’t retire until I’m 56. I don’t know that I’ll be able to retire at that point, but I’m certainly hoping I can.
I refuse to add my agency’s FB site to my list. If I can’t access it at work, what’s the point?
World’s Best Tenant’s Son shoveled twice today, in an effort to stay ahead of the white stuff. His heart’s in the right place, but the closer he got to the end of the drive, the narrower the path became - I’d be able to get half way down my driveway (about 20’) and I’d get stuck. Hopefully WBT himself will shovel in the morning.
I think everybody in Raleigh is drinking bad moonshine and going blind. I had about 20 people who could not see the kid’s Valentines card rack, while standing in front of it, with me touching the Valentines.

We have a Winter storm watch this afternoon through tomorrow. NO!!! No snow and freezin’ precipitation whatever that is. I will not allow it! There. That ought to scare it all away.
The snow stopped, and we made it to the pub for beerverages. Last night’s guest beers were Spitting Feathers’ “Thirstquencher” and Burton Bridge’s “Hole-Hearted”. I only had half a pint of each so I wasn’t even remotely squiffy.
'im indoors had a few pints, got home and had wine followed by cocktails. That inevitably results in late-night munchies and I woke up at 4.30am to the smell of burnt toast!
Am up. Off to work very soon. I hate the witching hour of the morning. Am tired. Look like shit (who looks good at 0430?). Am crabby and already dreaming of my pillow this afternoon…
Which, of course, is my world. For years, the plan was “Out the door at 56” and still I go to work. Stupid crashed economy! I blame the entirety of the Bush Administration and their stoopit policies. grrrrrrrr
But enough of that. We’re on delayed opening today - at noon. I normally only work till 2:30 since I start at 6:30, so I don’t know if it’s worth the aggravatio to go in for such a short time. I’m pretty well resigned to working on Saturday anyway. swampy, you keep your winter storm in the south, kthxbye.
It’s supposed to be sunny today - I’ll try to take advantage of that and start shoveling the front walk. I should take a swipe at the driveway, too - we got another inch overnight. Stoopit snow. I also need to empty and refill the dishwasher, then wash the cookie sheets I used yesterday. I may do a little laundry, too.

My sweetie called when he got to the office. Apparently the roads are still pretty bad. He also said he saw a jerk in a pickup speeding past a line of guys plowing. Idiot.
Anyway, that decided it - I’m not going into the office today. I’ll be working Saturday, I’m pretty sure, so why fret? It’s just not worth the aggravation.
