Why? Why should a woman be forced to go through an unwanted pregnancy?
It’s her body, it’s her choice. If she doesn’t want to have a baby, she shouldn’t be forced to. Unless you’re talking about 3rd trimester abortion, which is definitely a more muddled and ambiguous topic than 2nd or 1st trimester abortion.
I swear I’m not trying to turn this thread into an abortion debate (really, I swear!); I just want to know the reasoning behind dnooman’s rather bold statement.
Oh, I missed that one. Let me add: Abortion is either OK or not OK. Whether or not the women was “slutty” has nothing to do with it. While we have to have a cut-off somewhere on elective abortion, as long as you’re within that cut-off period, basing the legality of abortion on the motivation of the mother is absurd.
A person’s personal medical decisions are either the business of the government, or they are not. It is a constitutional right in the USA that a person’s medical decisions are a person’s private business and not the governments absent a greater interest, which third trimester counts as, and which serving in the military counts as. There are very few exceptions.

If we’re going to turn this into a serious discussion, can we at least all agree that regardless of what your views are about abortion you really shouldn’t be discussing them with a five year old girl?

I think most of you are missing the point in the talk about abortion and the Middle Eastern wars. Obama was a senator from Illinois - that’s what we have to remember. Here’s a quote from Barrack before he became nationally known:
“He pulls an attack ad, you pull his manwhore scandal. He kisses babies at the hospital, you send his babies to the morgue. That’s the Chicago way, and that’s how you get elected”
Although we all know that no one has ever told a lie in order to defame Obama, I’m still gonna have to ask for a cite.
Here’s a campaign ad from 1987. It’s also evidence that Obama was not born in the U.S. If he was born in the US, where did he get the Scottish accent? These are questions that need to be asked.
