Actually, on second consideration, he might be fleeing the law. So do a quick background check on him.

Remember the formula: If no sex + no outstanding warrants = moving across the country to be with a girl, then it’s true love, or at least some teenage-horomone bewildered variation thereof.

I was gonna close this thread, but it’s still going strong. . . and even the OP, who had asked for the closure, seems to be okay with it, so we’re letting it run.

Thank you John Corrado, I feel like a fool for having someone have to point out the truth to me. Ok, I AM a fool. I should go in the other room right now and thank him for coming with me to CA…sometimes I take him for granted and I forget that he left things behind too.

Now THAT’S a good thing, Pepper!

I sold my soul to Satan for a dollar. I got it in the mail.

I wrote that men and women can’t be friends. Tom Leykis and his male callers are the ones who point this out all the time. Tom said every time he says men and women can’t be ‘friends’ the women get angry.

When the gals call him and say they have a guy who is just a friend, Tom will call they guy and ask on air if the guy would like to have sex with the ‘friend’. All the men said yes.

This wasn’t my opinion, I just listened to Tom and the many men who listen to his show, who say they pretend to be friends with gals, but they are just waiting for a chance to score.

Don’t blame me for what the men say.

Tom also says no one should marry before age 25. I will agree with that.

Meanwhile, I have gotten completely lost in the many twists and turns this story has taken.

We have not passed that subtle line between childhood and
adulthood until we move from the passive voice to the active
voice – that is, until we have stopped saying, “It got
lost,” and say, “I lost it.”

Nuff said.

lindsay:

What you have here is a biased sample, which you are inappropriatly applying toa larger group". The group of men whose female friends are the type to both listen and call in to a particular radio show, which doubtless appeals to a very particular demographic is very differernt that the group of “men in general”. Furthermore, most radio shows pre-tape their calls–they only play the ones that reinforce what they want to say.

As a rule, any claim that starts out “Any man who. . .” or “Any woman who. . .” is a stereotype and ought not be mindlessly applied to all individuals.
