Jesus, **St. G **, all (terrible) joking aside, I am so sorry. Kid’s mom/nephew’s wife/niece-in-law must be in a numb, ghastly hell right now. No matter the circumstances of the drowning, I doubt she’s not blaming herself. What if, what if. What if.
I bleakly predict she won’t have an ultra long life ahead of her, and I don’t say that to be callous or cold. That much grief literally crushes your heart.
My heart goes out to her, and the kid’s siblings. And to you, St. G of course.
I am so, so sorry for all that your family has had, and is having, to endure. It’s just so unfair.

Leo’s funeral is next Saturday. At the same funeral home we used for his grandfather 3 years ago and his father last year. Apparently they’re still having funerals in TN. My niece-in-law put up a FB donations page, but she got the $1500 she was looking for to transport his body back to TN. Any extra will go for burial expenses.

Leo’s funeral was today. There’s nothing sadder than a 2 year old’s casket. He was buried next to his daddy. My nephew’s wife bought the plot next to him when she buried him, for herself. She didn’t think she’d be burying her baby less than a year later.
