Aww, crap. There are no words. Your family hasn’t even had a proper recovery from his suicide, and now his son drowns and you can’t even gather together to mourn.

I’m just nauseous. I’m usually pretty resilient, but 3 years ago, my brother (that nephew’s father) died of a heart attack. My nephew found him on Superbowl Sunday when he went to wake him from a nap. Then 8 months ago my nephew committed suicide. A month ago my sister was diagnosed with cancer. Now this. It’s really been one hit after another.
As for a GoFundMe, I don’t know if that’s planned. I’m not usually a fan of them, although it gives people a chance to do something.
My niece is in CA, and the rest of the family is far away - she wanted a new start. With travel bans and gathering bans, I don’t even know about a funeral.

National cemeteries currently have a COVID-19 policy of no burials. If the family has a member who must be buried, there is a waiting list. When it’s your turn, only a very small group is allowed to gather, and the ceremony is brief.
If the family member is cremated, then everything waits until this crisis has passed, and then, I imagine, it will be quite the traffic jam of scheduling.
Civilian cemeteries are no doubt, much the same.
This damned virus has robbed everyone of so much. And one of the things it has taken is the right to grieve.
