NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

Is it planned for a gravel pit? Another landscaping company? Where will they meet? They should go big time and perhaps meet at a hamberder joint. Then, everyone could eat.

The article said a ‘Gettysburg hotel.’ I’m certain that the Days Inn or Econo Lodge will be able to accommodate the massive crowd.

Taking a quick look at Google Maps I’d guess Suzanne’s Bridal and Formals, since he probably told Rudy to have a “Gettysburg-a Dress”.

It looks like the Gettysburg trip has been cancelled:
Trump has no events Wednesday, White House says, contradicting reports of trip to Gettysburg - MarketWatch

That’s good Ludovic. And we know Rudy looks great in a dress.

No events Wednesday? I can’t find the schedule online, but I get the impression that his schedule has been empty since the election.

Hey! Golf is an Event!

Do you MIND?? I had that moment brain-bleached until you brought it up again!

Indiana’s argument is that a woman can’t be the biological parent when another woman, even her own wife, is the woman who delivered the baby. However, in one of the cases, one spouse provided the egg and her wife was the carrier, so she does have a biological relationship, but the state is just using “women can’t be biological parents” as a smoke screen.

Fox is shelling out seven figures to Seth Rich’s parents in order to avoid having Hannity and Newt Gingrich deposed, and also avoiding being forced to name the “source” for one of their claims.

A better idea would have been a kickstarter to fund the family’s ability to proceed with the lawsuit, and compel the depositions.

True, but his “Bogus Ballot Bafflegab” is the worst Drag Queen Story Hour ever.

The lawsuit that bankrupted Gawker Media was funded by a Silicon Valley billionaire, so I kind of wish someone had done the same thing in this case so the Rich family could afford to refuse to settle. That way the Fox depositions could go forward and people could be asked under oath if they believed the bullshit they were spewing.

A moderator told me to move this into the Pit, so here we go.
With the SCOTUS having ruled that states can’t limit church attendance during the pandemic, what’s next? Can’t close schools? Can’t close businesses? Can’t require people to wear masks?

There’s a thread on that.

But an interesting Drag Queen name, although I’d be partial to Judy Ruliani.

Twitter has suspended the account of the Pennsylvania state Senator who organized the election hearing in Gettysburg where Rudy made his most recent ramblings. Don’t know what he did to violate their rules.

Yeah, but as a Catholic I’m a little gratified to see the church in court over something that has nothing to do with ass-raping alter boys, so there’s that.

Last night when I Googled the name of the priest that’s behind this, the page was filled with . . . links about a priest with the same name ‘ass-raping altar boys’.
Something tells me there ain’t two guys with the same name here.

One logical disconnect between this ruling and the Constitution is that the Constitution says nothing about the “free exercise” of religion, which Amendment 1 says cannot be prohibited, depending on the ability to gather. And it certainly says nothing about the free exercise of religion depending on gathering in particular numbers.

If the New York prohibitions at issue prevented people from gathering online, for example, that might reasonably be tied with an unconstitutional ban on a free exercise of religion. But no such ban was instituted in New York.

I guess I need to go to the other thread----but this SCOTUS decision seems to me to be so wildly wrongly-decided, that it makes me feel Pit-y.
