So the local NPR station was interviewing people at the DC rally and talked to a woman there about why she wasn’t wearing a mask, to which she replied that she was taking precautions by drinking tonic water with quinine.

It’s hard to say.
I would agree, but I think that all of his behavior has been unacceptable from the beginning, or even from before the beginning.
However, if you were one to find his behavior to be acceptable, then there may be more room to move there.
It takes one to be evil in order to appreciated the shades and nuances of the evil that Trump is, and to understand how those have changed.
Make no mistake, that you do not see a difference between now and 8 months ago, or 4 years ago, means that you are one of the good ones, and that you would have to be one of the bad ones to see the difference.
On behalf of all clear-thinking Kansans (yes, there are some of us in this state), I apologize to the country for this clown, the other two GOP reps who supported the objections yesterday, and for our newly-elected Senator Roger Marshall, who was one of the seven Senators yesterday that affixed his name to both objections.

One of the traitors yesterday wore his corporate badge on a lanyard around his neck. His company found out about it and fired him.
Another traitor was the legal counsel and HR chief for an insurance company in Texas. They fired him.
I predict this becomes the new Republican lawmaker talking point.
They will pretend that Trump turned crazy just now . They’ll pretend that he hasn’t been uncontrollably insane for at least 3 years and that their job wasn’t about concealing his craziness, and minimizing and normalizing it when it couldn’t be concealed.
They were fine with him using foreign aid to coerce the leader of another country to damage a political opponents. They knew he was a criminal and they knew he was dangerous.
But they just couldn’t give the Democrats the satisfaction of dumping Trump. So they threw the country away, instead.
Agreed! They will all coalesce around the talking point that this only now has Trump crossed the line. All those other times? Why, whatever do you mean?
