NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

Also from the article: “The Kansas City police union supports the bill.” Seriously, WTF? The police support people being run over?

Protesters, sure.

They do it themselves whenever they can get away with it.

If this bill goes through, they won’t have to try to disperse the crowd with riot gear, they can do it with MRAPs.

If the law goes into effect soon enough, it might be before the convictions take place…

Actually, it’s already in the Constitution.

Does it ever occur to these people that the fact that they spend so many of their waking hours obsessing over child molestation, torture, and murder is a little… diagnosable?

No. Critical thinking and self-reflection are not traits common in the QAnon believer crowd.

True enough. I’d think they’d be experiencing substantial loss of friends and of job opportunities, but no doubt they blame all that on the Conspiracy Against Them.

Thinking ahead, if the Biden Administration (and/or future Democratic administrations) are able to move the USA to a single-payer health care system, with good funding for mental health care, the prospects for psychologists and related disciplines should be very rosy indeed. So many child-harm-obsessed nutcases, failing at life in every way conceivable, may eventually be placed in court-ordered counseling—creating a veritable bonanza of jobs!

They don’t reflect, they project.

Does this mean it’s okay to buy Goya products again?

I really hate having to make my sofrito from scratch.

I think it should, just send a note of support to the board, mentioning that what they did was a reason for you ending your boycott. After the “nothing but us chickens out here” Republican moves to avoid punishing Trump, we do need to continue to press on corporate America to do the right thing and stop supporting an ignorant party that will lead the country into ruin.

Kelli Ward, the head of the Arizona GOP, was one of the leaders of the Stop the Steal movement. She was just re-elected as the head of the state GOP. But now her election is being questioned as a sham.

I’m only assuming that she’s a Republican.
A member of the Anchorage Human Rights Commission has been removed after defending two license plates that said 3REICH and FURHER as “free speech”.

Once again proving Republicans are quite capable of talking out both sides of their ass at the same time.

I’m remembering when SB1070 was being debated in 2010 then Governor Janet Brewer said it was necessary because the Federal government was not doing its job then, that November when Arizonans passed an initiative approving medical marijuana, she slow-walked approving the licenses needed saying she didn’t want to circumvent Federal policy on the drug.

Edit: This is commenting on the Kelli Ward post.

For shits and giggles I tried calling him a couple of times prior to his arrest.

Her defense:

Allard made comments on Facebook arguing that both “fuhrer” and “reich” are simply German words with no offensive connotation. Saying she was defending free speech, Allard wrote on Facebook that “progressives have put a spin on it and created their own definition.”

And the requisite snowflake statement:

“In light of recent attacks against me, I feel it is best to step aside.”

She means she’s dodging questions.

Yep. No matter how idiotic and hurtful their actions are, as soon as they’re questioned about those actions they become the victims.

I hope she “steps aside” onto a shrinking ice floe.

Greene’s views are just a bit more controversial. They include, but are no means limited to, the following:

• The QAnon conspiracy theory, which holds that Donald Trump is secretly fighting a worldwide child-sex-slavery ring that was supposed to culminate in the mass arrest of his political opposition, is “worth listening to.”

• Muslims don’t belong in government.

• 9/11 was an inside job.

• Shootings at Parkland, Sandy Hook, and Las Vegas were staged.

• “Zionist supremacists” are secretly masterminding Muslim immigration to Europe in a scheme to outbreed white people.

• Leading Democratic officials should be executed.

The most recent Greene view to be unearthed comes via Eric Hananoki. Just over two years ago, Greene suggested in a Facebook post that wildfires in California were not natural. Forests don’t just catch fire, you know. Rather, the blazes had been started by PG&E, in conjunction with the Rothschilds, using a space laser, in order to clear room for a high-speed rail project.

Greene’s version has instead updated the theory by giving the Rothschilds possession of a secret, powerful space laser.

The mind boggles…

Is it at least a 1920s-style space laser?

If they did have a secret, powerful space laser then why isn’t she a small, smoldering pile of ash?
