NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

The racist anti-feminist who shot the son of the female Hispanic judge in New Jersey claims that he was a Trump supporter who used his Russian GRU contacts to try to hack Hillary’s emails.

I’d say Mr. Den Hollander did a fine job of making that argument all by himself.

Ted Yoho apologizes for being “abrupt”. Denies calling AOC a fucking bitch… to her face. He all but admits to calling her a fucking bitch just that he didn’t say it to his “colleagues” and apologized if the words were construed that way.

Congratulations Ted, you got caught calling her a name behind her back, and think that somehow makes it less shitty.

After parsing this, it took me a while to figure out which version of the multiverse we’re in. It’s the fucked-up one.

And now I have to half-assed defend Ted. I would be fairly confident in asserting that AOC has called some Republican a “fucking asshole” in private. Check my white male privilege here - assuming he didn’t do it in public (and I’m more inclined to believe AOC then Mr Yoho about what happened) - is using “bitch” instead of “asshole” that much more of a transgression?

Although I guess just asking the question makes me see where it might be.

She’s not so stupid as to do it to their face. Not that they don’t deserve it.

The other thing is that he wasn’t in private; he was out in public with other people nearby.

In my view, the transgression is just the rank unprofessionalism of accosting a colleague (whom you’ve never spoken to before) on the steps of the Capitol, calling them disgusting and out of their mind, because you don’t agree with their description of an increase in crime rate. Then, when that colleague says you’re being rude, leave and call her a bitch, or an asshole, or whatever you mutter under your breath. Calling her a fucking bitch within earshot of the press is just the cherry on top of this shit sundae.

This just in:

Could you summarize? That is paywalled.

Here’s the AP’s story:

The big reveal, I guess, is that they’ve tracked his movements from cel phone records and other things and yes, he was in California when the other lawyer was killed in a similar manner as the judge’s son.

All I do is close the popup. Kudos to Bo for the AP story.

In a shocking turn of events, Matt Gaetz is accused of ethics violations.

Incapable of original thought; finding Faux and Fiends too cerebral; Matt sought words to express his distorted world view through an unethical money laundering scheme involving a disgraced professional white supremacist speechwriter.

Sad. Loser.

It’s Q. Mystery solved.

Gaetz’s office denies wrongdoing in both cases. Gaetz’s aides said the House Ethics Committee approved both arrangements but declined to produce any evidence that that was the case.

Imagine my shock.

Ya Gaetz what ya pay for.

Someone on another forum called Gaetz “evil Donny Osmond.”

I laughed.

He has won People Magazines Most Punchable Face for the last 3 years running.

That’s just 'cause we can’t see Shkreli at the moment.
