So when the Democrats have their convention, he will claim that they are just copying what he knew was the right thing to do all along, even though the Democrats have already planned their small convention.

Eh, the sitting President is the head of the party (even if there is an official chairman or something). And if the announcement can from anyone else, the MAGA folk would have assumed it was the deep state and/or Trump would have announced at some point that there was still going to be a convention.

He is capable of completely changing his stance on something, but this is public enough that it should be safe. Although any downtick in FL case numbers could lead to him deciding he does still want his speech.

Let that sink in: more than half care more about the economy than they do about their fellow citizens (prolly because they don’t even think of things like having “fellow citizens”, but I digress).

How can they not understand that without people, there is no economy?
