“My wife says that roads and bridges are a woman’s problem if you will,” the senator added. “Because oftentimes it is the woman – aside from commuting to work – who’s also taking children to schools or doing the shopping. And the more time that she spends on that road, the less time she spends doing things of higher value.”
Men don’t get stuck in traffic jams on the way to work, because they use helicopters. Now, if the helipad isn’t conveniently located, their motorcades and security details clear the traffic ahead of them. At least, that’s what happens when I go to work. Isn’t it like that for all men?
If elected, my first priority will be to address the lack of conveniently located helipads so men will not face delays is getting to their very important jobs.
Roads and bridges mostly affect women, so as long as the women can get home in time to screw their husbands at bedtime, we’re good. And since that only takes three minutes, I don’t anticipate a problem.
If elected, pledge to focus on helipads, because Trump won’t do a rally unless we have one. And I promise to make sure that women don’t run around claiming to be men just so they can use our helipads, because if they do, the word “man” will lose all meaning and you’ll have to wear heels when you drive your helicopter to work.
I pledge to focus on these important issues, instead of frivolous women stuff like roads, bridges, health care and food. Real men don’t need that stuff.
Yeah, ok, sounds well organized - what could possibly go wrong with a buncha cops just…showing up, kinda uninvited, possibly. Sounds Portland-y, maybe.
…and following into this cute little piece of desperation:
Republican who lost his Congressional race in 2020 used left over campaign funds to travel to the insurrection. He claims he didn’t take part in the attack on the Capitol, but social media posts seem to show otherwise. He has already announced he’s running again in 2022, and Qevin MqQarthy has already endorsed him.
In a since-deleted tweet, aptly-named Senator Mike Crapo praised a fallen soldier from Idaho who joined the military to fight in Vietnam, but somehow was killed at Pearl Harbor.
“Today, Navy Fireman 2nd Class Carl Bradley returned to rest in Shelley. He left Idaho to serve in the Vietnam War. He was killed in action aboard the USS Oklahoma in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, & his remains found earlier this year. May we remember his eternal sacrifice,” Crapo wrote in his initial tweet.
‘Knowin’ history ‘n’ stuff is for GIRLY men, not fur us manly Republicans!1111!!1!!!’

DeSantis is SO running for President in 2024.
The entertainment I’m waiting for: the moment that Donald figures out that DeSantis is running and that DeSantis has no intention of cutting Donald in on either the graft or the spotlight.
I love how people are assuming Donald is going to live to 2024. It’s nothing short of whatever the opposite of a miracle is that he’s made it this long.
I don’t know. It makes logical sense that Donald should be in terrible health and thus not around in 2024.
But there were a lot of logical conclusions about Donald that we all have come to over the past five or six years—and many of them haven’t panned out at all.
Paul Ryan has apparently been living in a cave with no access to the outside world for the past four years, and he emerged recently and said some really funny things like:
“Voters looking for Republican leaders want to see independence and mettle. They will not be impressed by the sight of yes-men and flatterers flocking to Mar-a-Largo.”
Paul Ryan, we have all been awaiting the second coming of you and the day has arrived! The Republican voters lost their way because you deprived them of your essence, and fell into despair while gazing at the vacuum caused by the absence of your leadership. Desolate and floundering, they all joined a cult as you elevated yourself by your golden bootstraps to your rightful place in a higher plain of existence in a cave somewhere with no TV. Thank God you deigned to return to the mortal world of party politics because you are the only one with the power, grace and charisma to break the evil spell that Donald Trump holds over the Republican voter. Yippee, our democracy is saved!
