Goddammit, Rudy! You’ve just made me think well of Robin Thicke.
The Waltons did it

Jenny McCarthy is also on the Masked Singer panel. It’s an absolute horrorshow of morally questionable characters.
AFAIK Ken Jeong is fine. And probably Nicole Scherzinger.
Someone who’s been living in a cave since 2016… wait 2008… hold on… nope… then too… ok, got it… 1953.
To be fair, “nominated for a Nobel prize” means absolutely bupkis. Pretty much every person you’ve ever heard of has been nominated for a Nobel prize.
Jenny McCarthy is the main reason I refuse to even consider to watch that show.
I was in a show with Ken Jeong about twenty years ago when he was just a really funny and cool Med Student at Duke. I still shake my head that he’s on that show.
Well, I’m gobsmacked that there’s an entire message board devoted to The Waltons.
That reminds me, they did something similar with a German Bible in Little House on the Prairie.
I remember that one too. Mrs. Olsen felt superior to the German immigrants because they couldn’t read English (and were thus “illiterate”) - but the German immigrants could read German just fine (and of course could speak German and English, while Mrs. Olsen could only speak English)
Fuck Mike Parson. This is the guy who pardoned the gun-wielding McCloskeys, but refused to commute the sentence of a proven wrongly convicted black man. He’s also the ass-hat who had the health department run a study on the efficacy of mask mandates, then sat on the results when he didn’t get the answer he wanted. He’s just marginally less of a piece of shit than his predecessor, disgraced former governor Eric Greitens.
Oh, absolutely. My wife giddily came to me with the paper this morning, with the headline about Parson’s, happy something bad had happened to him.
Had to burst her bubble a bit by explaining that he was suffering a setback for not being conservative enough for the real crazies around here.
Ted Cruz jokes about the cost of tickets to Cancun ahead of a new storm about to hit Texas.
The best defense is being offensive.
I know where he can go that’s plenty warm.
They don’t want him either.
I’m going to buck the trend, to say that while I think Ted Cruz is a truly loathsome human being, I found that little bit of self deprecating humor was actually pretty good.
It’d be self-deprecating humor if he had ever acknowledged that his actions were wrong and shown any sort of remorse. As it is, it’s just deprecating all those idiotic enough to not call him to task for his previous wrongdoings.
Seriously.
I’ve never watched that show and now likely never will. But is anyone surprised that a show produced and distributed by Fox Entertainment (yes, the one whose parent company is the Murdoch-owned Fox Corporation, not the spun-off part owned by Disney) is trying to paint Trump’s immoral hatchet-man Rudy Giuliani as a ‘fun, normal, entertaining’ kind of guy?
Good for Robin Thicke for walking out (even if that’s not enough to redeem his reputation).
Mike Parsons just can’t stop putting his foot in it. His implication that he would only hire Christians for a state Dept of Health and Human Services post was too much even for other Missouri Republicans. Turns out not all of them are Christian and they don’t appreciate the blatant Constitutional violation of “no religious test for public office.”
A “Constitutional sheriff” (self described) in North Dakota is deputizing the locals to form a militia to fight against the federal government.
