NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

To my ear, it does sound like she mis-spoke, but only in the same sense that Rick Santorum misspoke when he almost called Obama the N-word back in 2012.

Ah, men. So hysterical. Just victims of their hormones.

He obviously needed a fainting couch.

He was going to hug her, just slipped. He was fending off a murder hornet. Could have happened to anyone. Fake News. Hillary, pizzagate, IOKWARDI.

Marge Greene says kids should learn how to use guns so they can fight off school shooters. God, the idea of every kid in school packing makes me shiver.

How can anyone challenge such eloquence?

Not edited or photoshopped.

In 2010, now-Senator James Lankford, Oklahoma, when he was youth director of a church camp, said 13 year olds can consent to sex.

To a two-year old with a pistol, everything’s a target.

A lot of them are already experienced.

I’d bet she didn’t really think that.

Her thought process is ‘look around, what do I see that I could make into a headline-grabbing Tweet??’ Pretending to believe that bricks are being provided for Scary Leftists to throw is par for her particular course.

I’m not saying she’s less stupid than we’ve been given reason to believe; I’m saying she’s 100% targeted on being in the news every day.

Yes, you’re quite right. Cornyn was tweeting what’s now a standard right-wing “counter argument” to what Obama had observed (that Dobbs threw out a half-century of precedent.).

Of course it’s a terrible argument. Plessy was thrown out by Brown on the basis of copious evidence that showed that Plessy’s basis was fake and false: namely, that Plessy’s claim that ‘separate but equal’ education facilities could exist was complete bunk.

Not so with Dobbs. The rationales offered by Scalia and his little friends for overturning Roe are ridiculously threadbare. Certainly they are not based on evidence (as Brown’s overturning of Plessy had been).

Add to this the fact that Brown was NOT removing a right relied upon by a nation for five decades, whereas Dobbs IS removing such a right, and you have plenty of justification for laughing this bad right-wing argument right out of the public square.

(They’ll go on using it anyway, of course. They have no respectable arguments.)

I think you meant Alito. Easy mistake to make. I still remember the jokes about “Scalito” and comments that Alito was Scalia-light.

YES, Alito—and you’re right that the two do tend to be paired by many, including me.

(Oops!)

I know Ms. Sanders is not a member of the Dope, but surely this belongs in the Trolls R Us thread. No one can be that oblivious.

I’d like to assume that this means Republicans are in fact willing to compromise on abortion . . . seems like it’s not the most medically sound proposal but whatcha gonna do?

Thank goodness Rudy is safe after being viciously attacked in a supermarket.

That poor lamb.

I’ve seen more devastating blows delivered by Shane McMahon.

I’ll give him credit, he took some serious bumps in his time. He’s done more work than Don Jr., certainly.

GQP Congressman, who also happens to be a doctor, says nobody is ever forced to have sex.
