Observed in tandem with something like “Victims of Fascism Day” and “Victims of Capitalism Day”, I think it could be a very useful and thought-provoking reminder of how theoretically noble-sounding ideologies are often implemented at a high cost in human suffering.
The way it’s going to be observed, though, will just be standard right-wing anti-socialism and anti-democracy propaganda.
Perhaps they could mend bridges with Disney and refit/rework the “It’s A Small World” ride to include the changes.

The Kansas Secretary of State’s Office on Monday morning rejected an attempt to offer assets — including a home — as collateral to secure the recount. Election officials are insisting recount supporters have cash in hand, or a cash equivalent like a cashier’s check.

Update on the Kansas amendment vote recount:
Four of the nine counties that will have to recount are in the top 5 in population in the state. None of the other 5 are in the top 10. I’m gonna take a wild guess and predict that the outcome will not change appreciably in any county, meaning that these idiots will be out $119k.
Depends on how honest the recount is.
