NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

And the reaction from other Christian groups is…what?

Isn’t like half of Oklahoma technically under the authority of the Native nations?

  1. Drunken old dude at the end of the bar is being racist as fuck. Again.
  2. Telephonically? Telegraph lines were down and drunken old dude had to figure out the new technology.
  3. Drunken old dude didn’t pass 8th grade English and decides to Make random words Proper nouns.

Jesus responded:
“It’s not like I’m a fucking vampire that needs to be invited in. I’m Jesus, god dammit, and I take what I want.”

What “spiritual authority” does the governorship of Oklahoma give him? I’m not aware that any state governorship involves being head of a church, although it seems a big chunk of the population is unaware of this.

Edit: Maybe he meant Jesus gives him spiritual authority, hard to say from the quote. But then I’d have to ask “What physical authority does Jesus give him? And did Buddha, Yahweh and Allah sign off on that?”

A lot of these people take it as given that, if they win, it’s because God wanted them to win, so they’re obviously God’s Anointed One, akin to Moses or even Jesus.

Of course, they never extend that courtesy to their opponents, when their opponents win.

Well, neither of them ended very well.

Didn’t Jesus say something about “my kingdom is not of this world”?

‘Gott mit uns.’

Crucifixion is apparently a sucky way to die, but Moses lived to 120. He didn’t get to go into the Promised Land, but I’d say that was a pretty good life

Loser Donald says Democrats have stolen the Electron.

Well that’s just being negative.

Crucifixion’s a doddle.

Republican voters were forced to wait in line for hours, got exhausted, then decided to leave? Sounds like their “make it illegal to give food or water to people waiting in line” scheme backfired on them.

They coulda voted early, and avoided the whole line in the first place.

My god! Its like they don’t realize we’re white!

The trumpies went door to door handing out voting materials explaining that they shouldn’t mail their votes in but should only vote on election day. Many of the delays happening now is because of the large numbers of mail-in ballots that were dropped off at the polls on election day.

So, the lines were their fault and the delays were their fault.

There were a lot of RWNJs spreading the nonsense rumor that if lots of Rs arrived at the polling places and got in line just before they closed, it would be harder for the crooked Dems to sneak in enough fake ballots to overwhelm the last minute rush.

No, it doesn’t make any sense at all, but the word got out, and although I haven’t heard if this tactic was actually deployed in many locations, I know anecdotally that at least one poll worker (Mom) was told by officials that it might happen (although it didn’t at her site).

…and now they have the excuse they need to claim it was all rigged. Success!

It should be clear to anyone that such a strategy would result in decreased voting, in addition to people frustrated by long lines, voting at the last minute may mean you miss your chance if unforeseen illness or conflict happens or if due to traffic you get to the polls to late. This is why most sane campaigns urge their voters to lock in their vote early. I’m almost wondering if this rumor was started by left wing trolls trying to suppress voting on the right.
