Under the heading of “General Stupid” - Almost all the photos I’ve seen illustrating this story show a Mk 2 or similar. The inert grenade Mills sent out was a dummy 40mm grenade meant for the M203 Grenade Launcher. There is a difference, but I wouldn’t expect someone tasked with discovering and reporting news to know the difference.
But really, if you’re gifting grenades, why aren’t you gifting ones that…look like what a grenade should! A WWII pineapple looks like a grenade should.
Did they make pineapple style grenades in Florida?
“In that spirit, it is my pleasure to give you a 40mm grenade, made for an MK19 grenade launcher,” Mills wrote. 'These are manufactured in the Sunshine State and first developed in the Vietnam War."
At the moment it sounds like he’s a 12 year old running for the student council of a middle school. What’s the next proposal? Better snacks in the school vending machine?
Ronna Romney McDaniel handily won reelection as RNC chair, with 111 votes to main challenger Harmeet Dhillon’s 51. I guess they don’t believe in changing horses when you’re drowning in the stream…
PS – Mike “Pillow Guy” Lindell got four votes, and is presumably calling in the Cyber Ninjas to check the ballots for bamboo fibers as we speak.
Regarding the grenades. Does it say anywhere that they ARE dummies? Or is everyone assuming it because they’ve been told they’re “inert”.
Might be the language barrier, but if someone hands me a grenade and says “it’s inert”, then my assumption is that it’s not going to blow up in my hand, but if launched properly will.
I dare say any modern grenade is inert until prepped by a special ignition. AFAIK, you could chew on C4 without problems, but that doesn’t make it less of an explosive.

Regarding Trump being able to just end the war: As usual, politicians know every answer to any problem the opposition has - but don’t tell them, even if it means the country will die painfully…
(Being cynic that I am, I don’t believe they really have the answers, but surely that’s just me…)
