NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

Hey, it’s a great workout!

Qevin MqQ has given access of all of the 1/6 Capitol security tapes to Fucker Carlson. He didn’t even tell his top Republican leaders, let alone the Minority Leader.

A little ass covering going on by the Fuckhead? Wanting to find out “what they have”?
But wouldn’t this make it available to all, like a freedom of information request?

She is advocating for sedition.

Of course in today’s Republican Party, that shoots her to the top of the pack of GOP presidential primary candidates.

As some have pointed out, this footage reveals the location of all cameras in the Capitol—information NOT publicly available before, for obvious security reasons.

What odds Tucker has already passed this on to his friends in Moscow?

How is this legal?

I don’t know if it’s currently legal, but no doubt if anyone suggests otherwise, the House GOP will simply pass a new law making it legal.

Think of all the actual laws that Congressional Republicans have thumbed their noses at in recent years (responding to lawful subpoenas, for example).

They see no reason to enquire whether any particular action may be legal; they’ll just change the law if anyone questions them.

“A source familiar with the panel’s work told CNN that the unreleased footage was considered especially sensitive because it showed the movements of top officials while they evacuated to safety.”
(From the CNN link. )
If Tucker Carlson can have it, so can CBS, NBC, ABC, ETC. and et cetera, right?

Only if Putin gives Tucker the OK.

Did she ever actually study history?

Washington didn’t turn the Continental Army into a real army, von Steuben did. Washington was smart enough to put him in charge, though. Even so, the army was hardly “unstoppable”.

They captured all the British air fields. Shirley that was quite an accomplishment.

And they rammed the ramparts. That was something!

It’s an entirely different kind of flying. Altogether.

It’s an entirely different kind of flying.

It’s an entirely different kind of flying.

Tan the Conman thought they were going to get turkey.

Particularly if the blue city economic drivers of what economy they have refuse to leave (assuming they could figure out a way to do that).

I wonder if Jack Smith will add it to his investigations. I know the GOP has made a mockery of observing the law, but this is just so fucking blatant.

I don’t know what law people think is being broken. The hearings were entirely the purview of the House, and I’d think that the House can pretty much do what it wants with its work products.

Not that I don’t think giving the output to Fucker Carlson exclusively isn’t an incredibly bad idea, but I don’t think there is much to do done about it (since shaming obviously isn’t something the QOP worries about).

Indifference to consequences is a tough attitude to overcome. I don’t know how that concern gets drilled into the GOP while their base applauds their behavior.

IANAL, but I would imagine the security footage doesn’t actually belong to the House but to whatever agency is in charge of its security. Is White House security footage the President’s to share with whomever he wishes?

But even if it does belong to the House, it doesn’t belong to the Speaker. Seems like it should take a resolution (or some sort of vote) to release the footage to anyone, which while it might eventually result in Carlson getting the footage would at least have the question debated in the open.
