NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

Just before the governor of Tennessee is set to sign an anti-drag bill, an image surfaces of him dressed in drag.

“He had to sign that pledge. If he didn’t sign the pledge, he couldn’t be in the debate and that means he could not run for president and win the third time. The deep state rigged this. He’s just doing what’s necessary to protect us from the sure destruction that will follow if he is not restored to the presidency.”

Pardon me. I have to go puke now.

Now there is cheetah party? Not surprised there was a schism with the leopards, I guess.

Yes, but the point of the ‘first they came’ essay is that the definition of the ‘right ones’ constantly evolves (and gets more exclusive). Did anyone ever foresee Liz Cheney being called a RINO?

Florida legislator introduces a bill to ban the Democratic Party.

Thirded!

“Tennessee’s governor, Bill Lee, is facing accusations of hypocrisy after a photo of him dressed in drag went viral days after the politician confirmed that he would sign legislation criminalizing drag performances.
Lee, a Republican, announced on Monday that he plans to sign a bill passed previously by his state’s legislature that prohibits drag in public and in front of children. Lee also said he would sign a bill that bans gender-affirming care for Tennessee minors.
That announcement came two days after a picture of Lee dressed in drag during his high school days went viral on Reddit.”

Bill Lee has nice gams.

Hm, maybe that’s the origin of the catastrophic lack of genetic diversity among cheetahs-- They banded together and ate the faces of any cheetah that was different, with the required level of difference progressively shrinking until the only cheetahs that were left were all identical.

The whitest, richest part of Atlanta wants to secede from the city and Marge Greene is all racist for it.

Marge and Thomas Massie are the only two No votes on a resolution offering prayers for the victims of the Turkish earthquakes.

A bill in Florida would ban the Democratic Party.

He now says HIS drag was okay because it was “light-hearted.”

Not sure how he knows what’s in the hearts of those he wants to persecute, but then that’s kinda standard for hate-mongering authoritarians.

It is a school thing. My high school did it. Maybe its only okay if you’re mocking females. Who knows?

In that case, this will end up being a big ol’ slippery slope, because I’ve been told by some conservative-leaning folks that drag is mocking femininity. By that logic, drag performances would be just fine. :kissing:

These votes are symbolic and stupid (just like “thoughts and prayers”), but what would lead this howler monkey to not go with every one else, minus other dipshit, to offer their own “tots and pears”? At this point, it is just to keep her fucking dumbass name in the news. And that is what pisses me off. When she was barred from committees, her newsworthiness was somewhat restrained. Now that the Howler Monkey Caucus (HMC) has taken over and she is on committees, she’s up to Pussy Ass Bitch level of news reporting. Boebert and the rest of the HMC is taking notes. We will never be free from these shitstains.

The Texas legislature wants to give tax exemptions to straight married couples for having lots of kids.

Yep.

“Look at me! Look at MEEEEE! I am hating people! EVERYONE LOOOOOOK AT MEEEEEE! Now send me money.”

That’s all it is.

Iowa legislators propose a ban on same-sex marriage:

“In accordance with the laws of nature and nature’s God, the state of Iowa recognizes the definition of marriage to be the solemnized union between one human biological male and one human biological female,” says the joint resolution, introduced Tuesday by eight Republican members of the state House.

Rapey McForehead, while attempting to argue against US funding for Ukraine, enters an article from Chinese state-owned media into the Congressional record, immediately gets called out by witness for believing Chinese propaganda.
