Well… and they slaughter your goat.
The GOP is tilling the soil for the next generation of civil rights’ greats.
Republican former Michigan House speaker charged with accepting bribes for cannabis licenses:
I get what you mean but it’s rare when the GOP has been this blatant. To me it’s just this side of calling them the N word over and over. As shitty as they are as a group they usually tend to avoid doing that.
It’s coming next…
You may be correct. I probably should have said they have tended to avoid doing that. Clearly all bets are off now.
mr pearson took them to church last night.
Unfortunately, they do not pay attention in church. Or they wouldn’t act like this in the first place.
Sure they do, but they go to churches that encourage their biases.
Minnesota Fascist legislator says of democracy; “y’know, that is not a good thing”.
Probably does not affect well-heeled white folks, though.
If you asked Bliss WHY democracy “is not a good thing,” he’d have to excuse himself to call in the question to the right-wing talk show from which he got the ‘pooh on democracy’ messaging.
These guys have no idea what they’re parroting. But that particular parrot-vocalization (‘democracy is bad!’) is becoming more and more openly embraced by the right.
Some of it is pure white-supremacy (too many of the Wrong People vote, don’t you know, so voting itself must be wiped out). Some of it is the usual ‘act against your own self-interest’ stuff traditional among the poorly-educated right: letting fascist oligarchs own the economy will NOT work out well for the vast majority of GOP voters, but they don’t realize that.
Some of it is the longing for the Great Father (strongman ruler like Putin) to make all their decisions for them. No more need to research all those piddly local races, if there’s no more voting!
It’s horrifying and sort of hilarious at the same time to watch these idiots affix “kick me” signs to their own bodies…but unfortunately, the real-world consequences of their self-destructive ignorance will destroy a lot more lives than just their own.
Matt Walsh says it’s a good thing when 12-year-olds are forced to bear their incestuous molestor’s child, because getting an abortion would “destroy the evidence”.
Can you imagine how difficult it would be to go through life knowing that the only reason you exist is to because your mom needed evidence to prove that she was raped by her, and your, dad?
My brain locked up reading that. So, I’ll just post this definition that sprang to mind:
I’m curious about just how Matt could have been involved in thirteen pregnancies and still not understand how it actually works.
Also LOLOLOLOLOL LOLOL at the notion that abusive fathers will automatically be prevented from further abuse by their victim’s being forced to continue pregnancy. Case of NJ girl who bore FIVE children to her rapist father.
Men who can get away with obtaining an abortion for the daughter they raped generally can also get away with a child being born to the daughter they raped. Forced birth is in no way, shape or form a reliable safeguard against continued abuse.
If anything, forced birth could be used as a great form of humiliation.
On the other side of the coin, I’m not sure Walsh has considered the possibility that if a 12-year-old gets dropped off at an abortion clinic, people are probably going to have some questions for her, seeing as there’s no way she became pregnant without a crime occurring. Didn’t the cops arrest the abuser of that 10-year-old from Ohio who had to cross state lines to get an abortion last year?
